Behemoth - Stream The Cure Cover (feat. Niklas Kvarforth) From New EP

On May 29th, Behemoth will be releasing new EP, entitled A Forest. This output contains two brand-new tracks as well as the title track-The Cure cover, that features Niklas Kvarforth. The latter is now available for streaming in the form of a music video below. Directed and produced Claudio Marino.

Commented Behemoth: "Legions! Our new EP A Forest releases May 29th including the title track featuring Niklas Kvarforth of Shining! Covering music outside of metal is a challenge - covering legendary music is an even greater challenge?that is what drove us throughout this process.

"The EP contains two brand-new Behemoth songs, "Shadows Ov Ea Cast Upon Golgotha" and "Evoe". The tracks act as a continuation on from ILYAYD - no more, no less. We hope this brings some respite for anyone struggling during these strange times on our planet! Stay safe, stay positive, Hail Satan!"

A Forest tracklist:

01. A Forest (feat. Niklas Kvarforth)
02. A Forest (live)
03. Shadows Ov Ea Cast Upon Golgotha
04. Evoe

The Entity

Had forgotten about that video with Negal promising new music until I saw this, great track!

This just might be a lot of folks' first contact with The Cure

Not a bad cover, I've always dug Niklas' clean vocals. Prefer it with Shining, though.
The video itself to me looks like a higher budget art project for high school.

Pretty solid cover. But lets be honest, the ranking for best version is still The Cure > Carpathian Forest > Behemoth.

I still listen to 'Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me', 'Disintegration' and 'Wish' on a fairly regular basis. Those three albums are the trifecta of Cure albums for me.

That was actually very entertaining lol, interesting concept for a comedy band.

I really disliked it. I love The Cure, Behemoth and Shining but the result is really bad - at least to my ears. The mix sounds really cheap in a non-deliberate way and emphasises how bad the vocal performances are too. Robert Smith vocals are melodically intricate so having that as a reference doesn't help. If they had gone full black metal it would've been better IMO.

I agree with everything you said. It's awful.
