There is a six-minute preview of music from the new Porcupine Tree album, "Fear Of A Blank Planet," available on the band's MySpace page.
Alex Lifeson (Rush) and Robert Fripp (King Crimson) are guesting on the album, due out through Atlantic Records in North America on April 24th and the 23rd in Europe via Roadrunner. Lifeson appears on the track 'Anesthetize', while Fripp solos on 'Way Out There'.

| Hmm... it's too much metal, but most of it sounds really good! There is one part around 3 minutes with a dubble bass drum thing... that's not Porcupine Tree at all. Hope they haven't changed just because of switching label. Damn Roadrunner... |

| I don't like listening to samples but from what I've heard of the new songs they played live, PT have become much heavier (with an Opeth influence too). The days of Lightbulb Sun are long gone. They're turning all metal now. |

| This is quite amazing, and a logical movement from Deadwing. Deadwing is my favorite PT album, so I can't wait for this. There are many melow parts and many heavy parts, great! |
