well i can kind of understand this movie (even though i did not see it yet) but back in 2002/3 we had a wave of devil worshipers in lebanon (the second in 10 years), there were alot of rumers of babies with no hearts found in toilets, and cats with pentagrams on them in the streets and so forth. so ofcoarse all black wearing, long haired MEN where targeted. even more anyone holding a guitar lol.
anyway,all those turned out to be stupid rumers for the most part (we do have a small devil worshipping community underground)
i was stopped many times at night and forced to bare my whole arms and legs and osmetimes back (looking for tattoos) but then i dont blame them, i did look scary with my full black long hair, full black clothes and walking at 6'6''
anyway meh .. |

the rumer was a rumer, but to be honest there is a cimmunity of devil worshiper sin lebanon since the early 90s. in 92 they caught the supposed ring leader and then in 2002/3 it simply died out after rumers where confirmed to be rumors.
but for 3 or 4 months we (metalheads and other rockers) did not travel alone in fear of others attacking us. and not to mention cops, army and others stopping us just because we had long hair.
some rockers and metalheads were jailed because of excessive tattoos and even had osme cut their hair in jail. the worst thing that happened was printing a rockers name (initials) with his picture in the papers, this made him leave lebanon vowing never to come back.
in the end it was more of a MEH to me. i didnt care that much, but it was a hassel to get undressed in themiddle of the road lol |

| I remember the story , there was coverage from this case in France . Well this could be interesting . It's fucked up to be sent in jail because of what you wear or the way you look . And if I can remember correctly they were not devil worshipper but regular metalheads with shirts from bands who uses satanic symbols . (Not that I'm against "devil worshipping" as long as you don't go around killing stuff or doing stupid things ) |

well iam not muslim so MEH, but i know alot about them since i live with them.
pentagram is known to them and the "evil" symbol. as for 666 it is not in the qoran, but they talk abotu it. and crosses.. well they dont beliove in crosses and that stuff.
as for satanism and devil worshiping it a different thing. i dont want to go out of topic in this thread |
