Obituary - Album Cover And US Tour Revealed


The cover artwork for upcoming Obituary album "Xecutioner's Return" has been posted at this location. The band once again worked with artist Andreas Marshall, who has previously created the art for "The End Complete" and the group's most recent record, "Frozen in Time".

"Xecutioner's Return" was mixed at Redroom Recorders and was mastered at Morrisound Studios in Tampa. The album will be released on August 28 via Candlelight Records (Europe and USA).

In other Obituary news, the band have announced the routing for their upcoming North American tour, which is scheduled to kick off early September. The dates are as follows:

this cover is known for some time,it isnt that "news".i dont like these kind of covers to be honest,art and the colors are like old tv cartoons(like he-man and such).

Think the cover is crap. Looks more like a power metal cover with the misplaced dragon, and the colours remind me of a Hammerfall cover which looks simular. Already said this in the Obituary thread, but atleast now we have a release (target) date.
