Tarja Turunen - New Single, Video And Album

Tarja Turunen's album "My Winter Storm" will be released on November 19 in Europe (November 16 in Germany) via Universal Music. Keyboards and programming are being provided by Torsten Stenzel (Moby, Tina Turner, Vanessa Mae).

The only thing stopping 'I Walk Alone' from being pure, unadulterated fucking Eurovision material is that I think it sucks.

Which kinda implies that you like 'Eurovision material', doesn't it?

Most certainly .

I kept waiting for a guitar to take over and kick into a kick ass solo at some point, I could hear it, waiting, waiting, and then the song was over. Not bad, I'd want heavier, but I guess she doesn't which is why she left Nightwish

I love tarja's voice, but that's not enough, the song it's really boring, i hope that the whole album gets better.

The song is decent, but as PowerMetal I was waiting for some good guitar to kick in all the time and it never came

Decent I guess, but I don't like it too much. This is ovviously a message to Nightwish, just like By Bye Beautiful was to Tarja. Its like Symphonic bands subtly insulting each other with songs lol.

Well I have definitely heard much worse this year, but this album is nothing memorable. However, I found it enjoyable to listen to her cover of "Poison" from Alice Cooper's glam metal era The main problem with this album, though, isn't her voice, which is great as always, it's that there are no memorable riffs, and it's too formulaic. Even a great singer is nothing without great songs in which to sing. It'll be a shame if cannot find someone else to write with in the future. I can listen to her voice for hours on end, but can only listen to this CD a few songs at a time.
