Nevermore frontman Warrel Dane has posted a new song called "Messenger", taken from his new solo album "Praises To The War Machine", on his official MySpace page. The song features a guest solo by Nevermore guitarist Jeff Loomis.

Warrel Dane's debut solo album, "Praises to the War Machine" [cover art] will be released on April 28 in Europe and May 13 in North America via Century Media Records.

Not bad on the first listen. I enjoy the chorus, Warrel always seems talented at writing those. Not a whole of variation throughout the song, and a nice solo by Mr. Loomis. Good song.

yay I finally heard it! I'm not that big on it though, but I knew it wouldn't be nearly as good as Nevermore. Regardless, I'm still buying it.

I like the chorus and the guitar solo though.

Well, after listening to it for a while I can say I enjoy it. It's not that diverse, but Dane sounds as good as ever, and of course Loomis' solo is great. Hopefully the album won't be chorus driven though.
