19:29 - Redn1ght Dude.. Carl, that band must be the worst nightmare of the collector type (Must have all the albums of favorite bands.)
19:28 - Clint W. I've heard good things about The Broken Empire series. I'm not well versed in fantasy though. I'm trying to remedy that. Malazan, Kingkiller, Broken Empire, Mistborn, Stormlight Archives, Black Company, etc. Tons of stuff.
19:26 - Carl Berg Holy shit how many albums has this dude released this year? [link]
19:25 - Clint W. I like Wheel of Time so far. It is a somewhat derivative story and plot, but different enough to be interesting. Not sure I'll make it through all 14 though. It's good, but not great so far.
18:48 - Zaphod The Broken Empire has three books and they're short by fantasy standards. The main character is pretty interesting as he's kind of mad. I only read the first book though, and everyone besides the main character was pretty boring.
18:48 - PocketMetal Malazan series are the most detailed and the most huge fantasy books ever written , Steven Erikson is probably my favorite author.
18:44 - Fearmeister Malazan Book of the Fallen, 12 big books. Super epic ;)
Fear Factory members Christian Olde Wolbers (guitar) and Raymond Herrera (drums) are proud to announce the debut album of their new group, Arkaea. The band also features one of metal's hungriest young singers, Jon Howard (Threat Signal).
Arkaea has just finished up preproduction and are scheduled to enter the studio to begin recording.
The band's yet untitled album is due out fall 2008 on Koch Records and plans for touring are under way in support of the record.
Geez... in how many bands are FF going to break, anyway? Divine Heresy already sounds like FF-II... I'll have to wait 'til I get home to listen to Arkaea's MySpace to say something about what they play, but I sure wish it's not FF-III.
I love FF, but too many clones are a bad thing.
