Gorgoroth - Enter The Studio

Norwegian metallers Gorgoroth have posted the following update:

"Gorgoroth will enter the studio in their home town of Bergen, Norway on August 25, 2008. Eight new tracks composed by King will be recorded for an as yet untitled new album. Along with Gaahl, King and Frost on drums, the full recording line up will include Teloch [guitar] and Ice Dale [guitar]. Enslaved's Herbrand Larsen will once again produce Gorgoroth in the studio."

Looking forward to this. I greatly appreciate bands that releases albums with 8 tracks instead of 15 that you never listen through.

If they are recording a new album they must be pretty confident of winning the court battle over rights

I get the same feeling, though I only own 1 album and have only listened to 3 or so other at a friends house so didn't get an intense listen, though I havn't heard anything disappointing from Ice Dale from the few albums Ive heard him on.

The dispute is not settled yet, Infernus and his Gorgoroth are also recording a new album too.
So it looks like we will have two new Gorgoroth albums at once from two different bands.

Who cares? I'm so sick and tired of all this bickering over the name Gorgoroth. Its just a name. I thought the music was supposed to matter. Whoever gets the rights to the name is irrelevant, both Gaahl/King and Infernus have said that they will continue to make music either way.

Anyway, I'm definitely looking forward to hearing new material from both parties.

Geez. This fight has been going on for 10 months now. It's hard to believe Gaahl/King ov Hell and Infernus used to be friends.

i'm waiting for the Tolkien estate to sue both camps, followed by "Midian with one D" to suing everyone involved just because they can.

The only Gorgoroth albums I like are Pentagram, The Antichrist and Destroyer. Anything with Ghaal on vocals is terrible. But I still like Destroyer.

I think that their new albums are a lot more interesting then the old ones. The earlier sound like they could have been written by any random scandinavian band in the 90th's, not said that they are bad though.
