Lamb Of God - New Album Details
Lamb Of God will release their fifth studio album "Wrath", on February 24th, 2009. The record will be released in North America by Epic and will be the first release with their new label Roadrunner, outside of North America. "Wrath" is produced by Josh Wilbur and was recorded in studios in New York, Virginia, and New Hampshire.
Lamb Of God finished the touring cycle on the Grammy nominated album "Sacrament" at the end of 2007. The two-year trek was documented in the now certified Gold DVD "Walk with Me in Hell" and culminated with the band headlining arenas across the US last December.
The band has taken the entirety of 2008 off the road to focus on the writing process for "Wrath".
"This album is going to surprise a lot of people," comments drummer Chris Adler. "Typically bands that get to where we are in our career begin to slack off, smell the roses and regurgitate. We chose a different path. No one wants to hear another band member hyping a new record. "Wrath" needs no hype. We have topped ourselves and on February 24th you will feel it."
As always, Lamb Of God will embark on an extensive tour that will cover the globe. As previously announced, the band will be supporting Metallica on the December leg of their tour. The first leg of the "Wrath" world tour will start in Finland on February 6th and will encompass dates in the UK, Australia, and Japan.

It will sound like everything else. They claimed Sacrament was "experimental" and I really dont hear it at all.

I think it will be like the other albums ( a couple of good songs & a couple of band ones) ,, but the thing about Lamb Of God is : their good songs are REALLY REALLY good .. things like (Laid to rest  , Walk with me in hell  , Redneck ,, and others) .. i mean these are legendary songs and i almost lestin to them every day ...Halis to Lamb Of God  .... and can't wait for the new album

Man, I did not like Sacrament at all. That first music video they had out was pretty funny but I miss the intensity they had on AtPB going into AotW. They claim to raise the bar but I feel they are just getting lazier...

Sacrament i found amazing because it was totally original and different than anything else they've done. Im excited for this new album and i bet it will kick some ass.

I listened to it (it leaked some time ago) and as a long-time LoG fan i'd say it really isn't bad at all. Personally i prefer tracks that eviscerate you (talking about Bloodletting here hehe) OR that take your imagination and soar with it over the soundscape they're trying to create, but any fissions of any kind are just not my type. Of the whole album i would ABSOLUTELY say that Reclamation is one of their best tracks ever, and easily the most epic one. Only other one i really liked was Broken Hands (with the exception of Set to Fail's opening  ). On the lyrics i'd say i was never into the themes Randy likes to explore, but i have to say he's absolutely a master at laying them down - they're really well written and memorable.All in all i think Lamb of God are still Lamb of God, even a bigger, better Lamb of God, they're really evolving musically, it's just that they're becoming a different Lamb of God from the one that first kicked my ass all that time ago.. Despite that, Wrath earns my respect and i'd recommend it to any metal fan out there. And LoG fans will probably enjoy it greatly.
