I don't care about them, but since they are from my same country, I'll give it a listen.

If "Spellbound" is the song that they chose to be the song that they want to create interest with, they are in trouble.

They have so much potential, but fail with every release to create music dense and interesting enough for me.

Haha, yeah.
The very fact that it said the album was being produced by the same people as Avril Lavigne and Good Charlotte should have been a huge red flag.

I agree with you here It's not a classic, but it's more focused and despite my fears with the "big" American style producers being involved, I think they helped. If I compare this to most of the slop on US mainstream radio, this is excellent stuff. Of course, it's no old Lacuna Coil, but it's very good and after listening to the whole album twice, I pre-ordered my copy. It's a sure improvement over the failure (IMO) of their last album.

I'm pissed off with their new material - it sounds lame.

Besides that, I didn't expect it to be THAT bad. Lacuna Coil are beginning to sound like a new, average American alternative band. And I do think they've forgotten about their European fans' taste.
