According to a short message posted by the band's management on the official Immortal website, the Norwegian black metallers have commenced recording their new album:
"Immortal hordes!
The band has started to record the upcoming album!
They will be working in both Grieghallen and Abyss studios this time."

Oh HELL YEAH!!!!! It's about time! From what I saw here HellHammer's on drums! This should be amazing!
Hellhammer on drums? I don't think so. Horgh is still in the band.
I think you watched the old "Grim And Frostbitten Kingdoms" video and it confused you. Hellhammer appeared on that old video because Immortal didn't have a drummer at the moment, since it was Abbath who recorded the drums in studio back then. |

I believe Horgh is still with Immortal AND Hypocrisy. They have very close ties, hence the recording in Abyss Studio (Tagtgren's studio). Me thinks they'll take care of Immortal stuff first and then get to Hypocrisy later on. Tagtgren's been busy with PAIN anyways.
But damn, I want a new Hypocrisy CD SOON!! |

Forget about Helhammer on drums. PhOeNix made a little mistake, that's all.
I hope all is going well for the recording and all, so the album won't be delayed. Immortal is one of the best BM bands, and Abbath is quite funny. |

It's the first time I hear the title of the new album.
I like it. I think it suits Immortal well.
Thanks for posting the info. The only thing I hope for the new album is it will be faster in general than SOND. It was a very good album but if you compare it to any other Immortal album, it was slower in general. Though it still had nice fast songs. And the slower songs didn't suck. |
