The new album sounds a bit strange in my ears. it is fast but it sounds as slow in the genrally feeling.. it is also more melodic===>Nuclear Blast probably...

of course. in order to make them more accesible-popular. you can never be sure that this is the reason but there are some possibilities which you cannot ignore...

I'm not too impressed with it. They lost their direction on this one, the best songs are Cataclysmic Purification and the re-recording of Marital Decimation. This will probably be the only Suffo album that I won't buy.

I doubt the label has much of anything to do with their direction. popularity? my ass. i think DM hit it's peak in the early-to-mid 90's... they won't be pushing more units now than when Morbid Angel/Cannibal Corpse etc were on major labels.

It sounded alright, but didn't really impress me.

Nice... slower and less chaotic than previous releases. Found it very good.

I think I heard the first Suffocation album and then never heard anything else.
This album sounds kind of nice, I will the others, too.
