Ah yes. That bug was fixed a while ago. But all these albums need to be re-saved iirc. Starvynth might remember that better, he is usually holding my hands during these fixes as I don't work with the database a lot.
Finally what we always wanted, the ultimate thread about Drone. I figured since most of the Drone-related threads die a quick and painless death, somebody should do something about it!
So discuss Drone in all it's forms and shapes here, for it is a great genre. Let me start with some of my fav. bands:
The Angelic Process: Due to their nature of Drone/Doom and their awesomeness, I've included them in here. "Weighing Souls With Sand" was a frikking masterpiece and their "Coma Waering" is great too. Absolutely amazing stuff, in my opinion, though I might have overplayed it a little. Full review here..
Hjarnidaudi: Another amazing band. Their (his) debut album will schorch your balls off, so much heat is present on this album. One of my favourite bands atm and certainly one of my most-played. Full review here..
Hlidolf: The former version of Hjarnidaudi. Same dude, different music. The only album, V01D", is a collosal astral space trip, and a long one too. Seventy minutes of pure void-music, hard to digest, but good.
Furthermore I have ordered two more Drone albums, which I cannot wait to hear: "Fulci - Dead Sky/Red Lights" (more Drone Rock, I believe) and "Hyatari - The Light Carriers". I'll post my opinion on them here, hopefully soon!
That shit happens to me everytime (with the mute botton anyway) and I always think my computer just got fucked up or something.
So emmmm drone.. I don't know what to say right now about it Hopefully this won't be too much offtopic but do you guys have an idea how long it takes usually from Paradigms to send you something? I'm feeling like finally I should dare to order something from them. I was thinking of some Hjarnidaudi and The Angelic Process among other shit.
I live in Sweden and I have ordered from them, it usually takes quite a while, around 4-5 weeks to get the package.
Oh well, I can understand... Then again it's still quite cheap, pretty much 100 SEK/cd. Do you know how much it cost for the shipping?
Another offtopic question: Have you ordered from tpl.se?

Lucas is probably the best person to ask.

That Drone Razors song is very nice, more dark ambient than drone but very much my kind of thing.

Ordered plenty of stuff from them, don't remember anything unusual. Takes a couple of days each time as far as I remember, just standard shit. Fantastic label.

That's odd for me it takes several weeks to get my stuff.

No doubt about their quality... I just hope everything goes right, first time with Paypal and I'm not used to pay before getting my stuff.

No worries, I've done it a million times, both with them and other labels, and I don't recall a single case of not getting what I ordered. And I did order +500 items in the past couple of years, so....

Yeah I know... That's just the way I am. Awfully worried about everything *smack himself*
Ok, getting a bit more ontopic... I'm listening to one of the album I will get, Pain:Noise:March
This shit never gets old.... If I'm lucky I will get it soon enough to just go to a park, sit with the sun right in my face and blasting the shit out of it.

I really like ambient/drone, The Angelic Process, Nadja, Fell Voices (more ambient BM/drone) and the more evil and scary drone bands that border on dark ambient like LDRTFS, a great band to listen to with headphones at night.
KTL haven't been mentioned yet. They're a collab between Stephen O'Malley and Peter "Pita" Rehberg who's a noise artist from the UK (don't know his work though but will investigate him). Given them a proper going over tonight and I can safely say they're exceptional. Not really drone metal though, as well as dark ambient their style extends beyond into the likes of abstract industrial and noise territory. Highly textured and quite unnerving. It's annoying the song I really want to put on here, called 'Abattoir' from the '2' album, is not on Youtube. A total dronefest of the highest order. I imagine that song is what Velvet Cacoon might sound like if they made the full transition to drone music. It's on Spotify, along with all their full lengths.
I knew them ages ago but I always assumed you knew them way before
Yeah I've known them for years but only in the past couple of months have I properly delved into them ;]
Aye, i thought you posted them now just becuase you recently discovered them. I knew about them way back when I was barely touching the sourface of drone so Sunn O))) was way too much for me atm.
Aaaaaaaah Nothing like drone together with Begotten, one of my favorite movies.

Planet AIDS. Some fucked-up "music". On MA they are tagged as Drone/Funeral Doom/Industrial/Noise, but it's definitely more of the last two. Came across this after looking for some Urfaust stuff, as the drummer is one of the members. Only have one EP (with this song alone) and now split-up. For Sunn O))), Gnaw Their Tongues, etc. fans. It also made me think of some sort of industrial version of Wormphlegm.

Band has split up. Jim was indeed part of this and still drums for Urfaust and Kevin who is the other half of Planet AIDS now plays in Abysmal Darkening and was part of Bunkur.
