It's great to see that someone puts some effort in bringing good pagan metal to Vinland. Whoever has the chance to get there should take it, you won't be seeing most of these bands anytime soon again. And 30 bucks is nothing if you consider that more than half of the lineup comes from across the pond.

Yeah, it is rare to see solid metal festivals at all in America, especially pagan.

19 hour drive and more than worth it.
I can assure you I will be there, especially since my friend's band, Wolven Ancestry, is on the bill!
Damn Mark and his being able to be on these bills.....

Thrudvangar and Nomans Land will be in my country!!! That's amazing but I'm so poor and so far away.. sad. Well it seems they get closer every time Even though I can't go I'm still so glad they're coming here!!!

Just wanted to say that we are extremely excited to be playing HCIII this year. I cannot wait to see the other bands.
For any fans of Wolven Ancestry, we have two brand new tracks on our myspace page. Check them out!

How come Morrigan play after Gernotshagen, but have a shorter set? Well, it's not like you'd be missing a lot, I've seen Morrigan performing a set of 70 minutes on Friday and it was totally booooring, so count yourself lucky for the shorter set, but Gernotshagen should get their slot.

Thrudvangar have cancelled their appearance "for personal reasons". So if you're a band which would love to play there, drop them a mail:
Quote: Attn Bands... Last Call!!!!
We just got an opening since Thrudvangar had to cancel. So... if you are interested please send me your link or any other bands link to listen to. All submissions will be listened to.
Like to make a decision soon as possible.

Serious setback for the festival. Without any of the three previously booked German bands this lineup loses a whole lot of quality:
Quote: # * Thrudvangar (Germany - Einheit Produktionen) has left the bill. Since 2 of the guys could not get off of work in time. Looking for replacement.
# * Morrigan (Germany) has to step down from the bill. Due to booking another show in their homeland on the same weekend and they tried to cancel and could not. We wish them the best and maybe try to come out next year. INQUISITION from Seattle, WA has been confirmed to replace Morrigan.
# * Also has fallen is Gernotshagen (Germany) has also left the show due to price of flights which skyrocketed a lot higher and now can not afford the flights. We wish them the best and hope to see them soon. ULVEHEIM (Mexico) has replaced them.

I've been enthusiastic about this festival at first, but somehow the organizers are doing something awfully wrong. After losing Thrudvangar, Gernotshagen and Morrigan already, Nomans Land have been dropped off the billing as well now.

This is weak, I'm not really as excited about this thing as I once was. Not sure if I will go now...

It's a graet shame that the 3 bands have had to drop off and I'm sure John the promoter will be sad about this. i went to the one in 2006 and had a great weekend even if MN was very cold!
One of the main reasons could be the rising costs of flights to get over to the USA. I did think about going but when you see the cost of flights and tax (£70) it could not justify it this year. Another factor could be as ir's coming up the the thanksgiving weekend there.
However it would be nice to know what is going on and I'm still very positive about this festival. As there really a lack of good festivals over n the USA and forget those bad ones organised by certain wrestling promoters!
John.
