I read this whole thread and I must say I was quite amused. I want to direct this to Rapp32. Why must you bitch when someone dislikes Slipknot? and we can say Slipknot doesn't make good music all we want it's our opinions get over yourself. To some of us it sounds like generic boring shit. Some like it some don't.

Who the hell is Mushroomhead? As for Gwar not making any money I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that most people only want to go to a Gwar show before they die, not too concerned with picking up their music (which is mostly awful IMO.) But just because a band makes a lot of money doesn't make them any better than other bands, in fact I believe the opposite is true in some weird, twisted way.

That song makes Slipknot look like a band of musical virtuosos, I'm gonna go listen to Iowa now.

I watched a thing on headbangers ball and Chimaira was making fun of them. They're not one of my favorites. The bass players name is pig benis. That's kind of funny.

@rapp32: Where in any Slipknot music is there rapping...? Cory Taylor does singspiel and then does melodic singing along with going up the register at the end of lyrics with a bit of light grunting in the last few words from what I usually hear...

KapnKurupt Cory kind of does the rap thing in spit it out and a few other songs. But it's not like limp bizkit or hed pe style. Slipknot basically cut it out all together after their self titled album. Jonas you are basically telling me in your opinion that I shouldn't have an opinion about other peoples opinions. I'm sorry but that really doesn't make a whole lot of sense. If you want to stay quiet that's fine. I feel I don't have to. I care Alot about the bands I like and it's my right to defend them. Theres a pretty big difference between some glam fag getting a haircut and a guy changing a mask. I could care less about them getting new masks. I listen to them for the music. I like the whole get up with the masks but it wouldnt matter to me one way or another if they wore the masks or not. They don't sell albums because they where masks. I don't see any rap element in Slipknot's music either.

All Hope Is Gone is shit. I liked Psychosocial though. But I still think Slipknot are losing their energy, i was reading an interview and one of the guys said that they feel stupid wearing overalls and masks at their age. They also apparently wear masks because they think it gives them more stage presence and makes live shows better. That seems like a pretty good reason to me, but if they feel stupid while playing their music they shouldn't be doing it.
But whatever, hopefully this album will be good, I used to really like Slipknot but got bored of their material.
