I'm not actually watching it cuz of political reasons,
but my mom and sister tell me that recently Bahamas won a silver medal, that's hot.

Im happy with what Australia won. They did really well.
Im glad the Olympics are over though... I was getting sick of it after one week. I mostly watched gymnastics and diving and thats it

Well we won 5 medals (1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze), which is the record, since Slovenia is an independent country...so generally, I'm very pleased with the results of our sportsmen at these Olympics.

Italy got 8 gold, 10 silver and 10 bronze. Ah and 14 4th places, even if I don't know what's their value.
A bit of delusion because in the last 3 Games we went over 30 medals. But that's pretty obvious when you have an athletics team which is nowaday ridicolous, when someone thinks to the past.

Yes, we ranked 9th. It's not bad but we definitely could do better considering that in Atlanta, Sydney and Athens were more than 30 medals and at least 9 gold.

Yes, we ranked 9th. It's not bad but we definitely could do better considering that in Atlanta, Sydney and Athens were more than 30 medals and at least 9 gold.

In Sydney and Athens the Neteherlands also had more medla (although in Athens only 4 gold, but in Sydney 12 gold)

It is not strange that some countries won less medals (especially gold) because China won a lot mroe the US won some more and Great Britain won a lot more as well.

Sziget is quite popular. this year i saw 2 men who came to the Sziget from New Zealand! :O

Canada did a lot better in 1984 in Los Angeles and in Atlanta...we didn't do that bad this time around but could've done better...

yeah, it's surprising that such a big country like Spain only won 5 gold medals. I think the rest of the world(mostly asian eastern eurpoean and african countires) fell into line with W-europe and america that's why these countries got less medals than earlier.(there are some exception)

Tennis is actually considered one of the least important medals by 99% of the countries taking part. Probably because it is a young sport at the Olympics and the participants were full professionals when it was made Olympic whereas most of the others were amateurs.

oh sure, it probably doesn't have other sports' prestige at the Olympics, but it's undeniable that Nadal is one of the major symbols of Spanish sports. His victory after the reaching of the number one position in the ranking has surely made an impact.

True, Spain could have done better, but staying in the top15 is not a completely bad result

He officially only reached the nr. 1 position yesterday

after the now past olympic games, about mexico i can say it wasnt a good performance, we actually won 2 gold medals and 1 bronze, wich is not that good considerin that or mexican sport organizations spend so much money on our delegation, and most of the times is pretty poor their performance, i dont really know wtf is happening, maybe not all the money is ending on their training but in anybody else's pockets
(damn corruption lashing my country in all levels)

yes, like u said, "at least" they do, because a lot of that money goes for their pocket; and u know what? i assure u our paraolimpic mexican delegation is getting much more medal in beijin like the "normal" one, and trust me i´m not trying to cause any kind of trouble with this, just like this las delegation has a lot less money then the other ones, and that s when u wonder where the hell are all of them doing then
look, with the paraolimpic delegation we have more then 9 gold medals, plus de silver and bronze ones, like 25 medals now so the only thing i can do to support them is to be proud of their performance
but still upset with the other ones though

REally the chineses made a good job about the constructions, but for Brazlians the beijin games was a great shame we got among the lasts.

even the paraolympics was too betters than brazilians!
