Their First four albums Epicus Doomicus Metallicus, Nightfall, Ancient Dreams, Tales of Creation are flawless, and its very difficult to choose the best from these bests.
So defn there must be many Candlemass and epic doom metal fans around with views for this Epic band.
(Arguing If Candlemass was the first doom metal band or weather Epicus Doomicus Metallicus was the first doom metal album is what most of the times is discussed and i would recommend to keep away frm these "Arguable" issues)

Was "Epicus Doomicus Metallicus" re-recorded at some point? the vocals sound to me a bit like the other vocalists of this band

I got my hands on the new album this week. Even though none of the songs reminds me of Lucifer Rising it's still a very good album and the DVD that came with it gave you a nice behind the scene view of the recordings and tour

HOLY SHIT listening right now to their whole first album(previously haven't listened to all of it) AND HOLY SHIT THIS IS EPIC AND AWESOME. i swear i'll learn to do the demonic intro of Demons Gate lol i'm gonna HAVE to attend Keep it True 2010. it's something that shouldn't be missed. but what's been Landqvist doing all this time? on Metal-Archives it says he only recorded a few demos with another swedish band.

Uhh... I'm not convinced with the word "common" in your statement. Not being racist or anything, but most cabbie drivers around here are of Indian ethnicity (or maybe I don't use the taxi often enough to get fair numbers or stats). Not saying there isn't metal in India, but don't think it's v popular in that culture =/

Jeez, what do you people think? I wonder if Lucas actually rode a cab here in The Netherlands since they are bloody expensive. Oops of course he rode one, after the first day of Dutch Doom Days back from the station to my house... so I think that Lucás' ears were still ringing with the sounds of doom gathered at Dutch Doom Days. So he did he did hear a cab driver rocking out and playing doom metal

Rofl! The 'Bewitched' video is a classic one. All doom metal video's should feature people in habits, following each other around Doomdancing! Man, it was amazing to see Messiah Doomdancing with his big curly hair! I haven't really listened to any of the new albums yet, the last one I listened was King of the Grey Isles. Not a bad record, but it never really grabbed me. I still listen to the old cd's, which are amazing and never seem to wear out.
