My personal favorite is Hellhammer, I don't know exactly why, but everytime I listen to his drumming I get insanly "Black metalish"...

Of course "Hellhammer" he is not best BM drummer just he is the #1 drummer in the World..

This not a derby! Hellhammer's domination is unquestionable, not just in black metal, he's one of the greatest metal drummers in general. Frost is #2 and Fenriz #3.

Written by Lehctim on 02.12.2008 at 07:07 If we consider Absu as Black Metal, I would say Proscriptor is the best Black Metal drummer. He's my favorite extreme Metal drummer, all genres included. And, for the records, Fenriz is very average. Never really cared for Hellhammer, as he played mostly in bands I hate. Frost and Horgh are both great. Though, unfortunately, Frost's talent is completely wasted in current Satyricon.
