So, the results are published! Congratulations to the winners, better luck next time to the losers!

Here's the place to discuss the results, but keep in mind: these are the results of YOUR votes.

Another thing, and this concerns mostly the staff(especially those who manage the awards). It seems like some of you guys (with all due respect) have some problems with categorization.

Examples?

Fair enough. Okay, do you really believe Todesbonden's "Sleep Now, Quiet Forest" is an atmospheric/symphonic metal album?

Honest to god, I have no single clue. Don't know this band at all. Somebody else put them in that category.

I've been through that too . It gets pretty equivocal when it comes to defining or categorizing bands.

I istened to it once after it got nominated and to be honest imo it would fit better into gothic than atmospheric/symphnic but I don't see too may problemns with fiitng it into that one either. Where it doesn't belong at all is doom (unlike what Metal-Archives says)

There's no need to enter into controversy. I would definitely say it's an orchestral melodark metal album. Nothing more nothing less.

orchestral = symphonic
melodark? Whats wrong with gothic? Gothic is melodic and dark. Symphonic Gothic Metal. It doesnt matter if it is different to other bands in the genre.
