LOL WTF how are they scene?

Went with Death. One of my top 3 favorite bands in the world. The music is just amazing and chuck's vocals and guitar playing is one of the best in the business in my opinion. Morbid Angel is a definent second for death metal.

Obituary will be my second favourite.

From that list I can't decide between Nile, Morbid Angel or Deicide but Behemoth and Cryptopsy are pretty sick too.

Yeah man i gotta admit Cryptopsy rocks but in that list i picked Death, cos they were the best and they still are...

That was so hard to pick my favorite, but I went with Nile. Death was an EXTREMELY close second, if not a tie.

Definitely. If you never heard them before, listen to either Deathcult For Eternity: The Triumph, or Conjuration of the Spectral Empire, as they are both amazing and among the best death metal albums of all time. Just don't expect constant blastbeats or anything because this is a lot differrent than your standard cannibal corpse clone.

I voted for Cannibal Corpse . Becouse it's a one of my favorite DM bands . But i more prefer
BM janre . i don't like DM so much but bands like Cannibal Corpse it's a.......

I voted for Death, Chuck is the man and Death is a band which truly touched my soul... Nile comes close after Death, and ummm, why isn't Necrophagist on the list?

Thanks I'll check out at least one of those albums...I went on metal-archives and nearly everyone was saying how their albums are the best dm ever...if they are excellent, than it is definitely a mystery why they are so unknown.

Incantation. One of the most consistant DM bands and my personal favourite because of all the blasphemy and the doomy parts... they are underrated and I always like to support the underdogs. I know I'll get ripped apart but I think Death are overrated. They're not the fathers of DM, they are ONE of the fathers!

Death Metal, the name of the genre tell you whats the best and most influensial band of the genre, of course im talking about Death.
Nile and Cannibal are my second options.

mmm Behemot, i always seen them as a Black Metal band. They have the look and the themes ov a BM band but yeah their sound is closer to be Death Metal. Septic Flesh is other band that i dunno if call them DM or BM. But they fucking Rock too!

Of this list Morbid Angel is a nice second. Can't wait for their new release!

Difficult pick between Death and Nile... Death has great proressive elements, but they don't ruin the brutal feel of Death Metal, while Nile is like the only Brutal Death band I can listen to without being bored after a minute and the Egyptian atmosphere is great. In the end, Nile got my vote.

Saying MA albums is better how other DN, man maybe how nowdays yes but not old school

I can't believe all those bands are more popular than Morbid Angel

There are so many great bands to choose from - the aforementioned Demilich is a fine example, and also of course Possessed, and many others - and I also really like some of the bands listed in the poll.. for instance, Morbid Angel - Blessed are the Sick is one of my all-time favourites, with great variety and incredibly memorable songs.. and Obituary are also excellent, with one of the most unique sounding vocalists in extreme Metal.

I voted 'other' - it's difficult to choose just one band, but at the moment I'll go for Bolt Thrower, overall. They have forged their own sound throughout the years, and their music is crushing and intense without resorting to technical widdling or endless blasting. It also has a morbid atmosphere, which is something integral to Death Metal, and a unique sense of sinister melody.

wow, weird that someone mentioned Demilich .. i like that band.. not much ppl listen them. but anyway, they cant be the best death metal band cuz they have only " 1 " album. an album witch is verry unique i rly like it and i recomend it to everyone, but still .. its not enough
