After making a poll with having only 8 possible choices I decided that it would be better to have a Beer topic. So, tell us what's your favorite beer, why it is and give us all the necessary information about it so that we can try it when we have the chance.

So, keep on the discussion about this great drink called Beer!

As for me, I've already wrote it: Erdinger (i don't know much about it's short etc) is the best. It is a beer that kneeds in your bottle and it tastes great!

Well, this past Saturday the one local brew pub in town celebrated their 26th anniversary. They released a limited edition Palliser Porter infused with Scotch. It was pretty good, although not quite as good as the Imperial Stout they did last year.

You're mixing up the Pater and the Agnus. On the picture it is clearly the Corsendonk Pater, the bottle even says so, for it is a dubble (abbey brown ale) and it is 7.5%

The Corsendonk Agnus is an abbey pale ale and also 7.5% so not 6.5% and is a blonde tripel, not a dubbel.

Where did you get the picture of the Corsendonk Pater from in combination with the wrong info on it? (the "Corsendonk Agnus / Abbey Pale Ale , Belgium, dubbel 6.5 % " part)

awesome, nice species, herbs, not strong but its awesome, smell, its pagan, modern pagan , we wander deep into nature and collect herbs as ancestors and put into beer. Brown nice color, smell and after taste, also head taste damn great

Hornbeer Caribbean Rumstout , Imperial Stout , Denmark 10%

Its decent stout but somehow I did not felt any rum taste into it, it was negative, rest is we can compose odes to make this stout great, not only but all stouts are great, imperial stouts and porters are kings of beer

It was on booze store like 2 years, and every time I want to buy, so one day like 3 months ago no craft beer, I decide to by it. I am disappointed actually. I like smell, but it taste like a bit better quality piss lager. I am not impressed to this one.

This is awesome, its like herby, like black current taste something. Interesting aftertaste.

McGargles Granny Mary's Red Ale, Red Ale, Ireland, 4.4%¨
Well as most British beers its disappointed, as Ale it worked well, but lager would be piss. 4,4% is not beer, not made for home drink, just for pub culture. It was good before concert, chilling at home, drinking, that condition it was OK, but Brits must learn how to put 4-5% in their beers and how to drink at home, not pubs.
Ocean Extra Stout, Imperial Stout, Sweden 7%
First time in my life I am disappointed in stout, as craft beer it was nothing just water, mainstream taste of stout, nothing special, 1th time really 1th time ever in my life I did not enjoy stout!

Omnipollo Fatamorgana, Imperial IPA, Sweden, 8%
Negative is bottle, its awesome labeled drawing, but info on bottle is hard to read and hard to get unless you dont read on store, so its negative, but beer, well DIPA is DIPA, enjoyable. I like it

La Trappe Dubbel, Dubbel Abby Ale, Belgium, 7%
Best dubbel I have drunk so far! Nice smell, brown color, top, taste and after taste what stays long, basically maybe best dubbel and Trappist beer I have tasted, because Chimay, Rochefort and Westmalle is way to over used in my home. Other Belgium trappistes are way to expensive.

Dieu du Ciel Grande Noirceur, Impersial Stout, Canada 9%
Le stoute imperial whit grande taste, le staoute suppose tatsto, le birra franco Canadian what so ever, gosh I am tired of French. Its like Russian bands has VK, never use proper English source, whole America speak espanyol on FB and think world understands, Cz and Sv use some band zone, and don't get why never will be famous, parlou englai, no francais, its key factor, but beer was good, werry good, I love this brievery.

Leffe is NOT a trappist. It is an abbey beer.
There are only 11 trasppist brewereis in the world:

La Trappe - The Netherlands
Zundert - The Netherlands

Spencer - USA

Tre Fontane - Italy

Engelszell - Austria

Achel - Belgium
Chimay - Belgium
Orval - Belgium
Rochefort - Belgium
Westmalle - Belgium
Westvleteren - Belgium

Midtfyns Russian Imperial Stout, Denmark, 11%
I remember they had some Jule stout something, actually this is why I strat follow craft beer. If I recall Jule stout was 6% something, good one and some special feelings. This was good stout IMO.

Bigfoot Barleywine-Style Ale, USA, 9,6% 2017 edition
A bot IPA style barley wine, hoppy taste, interesting, I love it, basically decent beer.

HaandBryggeriet Fatlagret Porter (Akevitt Porter), Norway , 8,2%
This and Midfyns is same time when I started drink more craft beer, I remember smoked ale r what it calls, it was long time ago, 3 or 5 years ago, now well I was happy get another one from this brievery. Decent peace, Norway has best craft beer in Scandinavia IMO.

O/O Long Boil Barley Wine, Sweden 10% , 2016 edition
Rare and unknown, maybe bran new brievery from Göteborg. I know all time I have been talking how good is stout, porter, now I will say same about barley wine. I start to love this beer style. Awesome, I love strong beers.

Alaskan Smoked Porter, USA, Smoked Porter , 6,5%
My 1th craft beer whit 700ml bottle , big bottle, what can I say what comes around goes around, I get this again
Grebbestad Lunator, Sweden, Doppelbock, Märzen, 7,9%
Great beer, interesting, well i tyhought it wonyt be so good, sometimes Sweden can make good beer, what is between maisntream and craft,m whit good taste.

Evil Twin / Westbrook Imperial Mexican Biscotti Cake Break, USA/Denmark, Imperial Stout 10,5%
Good company, never disappointing but other companies can make equal stout and cheaper, but this is insult to Swe alcohol taxes.
Garage Project Hellbender, Burley wine, New Zeland 11, 2%
Just checked home page and tyhey have like 60 beers, I wanna try all, barley wine is my new beer what I adore, it was awesome, strong, taste, ruthful tatse and so on.

De Molen / Omnipollo SitiS Imperial Pinanple IPA, Holland 8,5%
My 1th Dutch beer what is not mainstream and I wont comment it, dont want for some reasons.

Last week we had a craft beer festival in Toulouse. 60 brewers (a bit less in the end I think) over 30 different places in the town. I certainly didn't drink that much but sampled some really nice stuff (unless noted, all were on tap). Also, note that while I'm not into sour beers, I did try some, just because I had to try again (and I don't regret it)!

FRANCE
Brasserie de la Seillone
- La Sauvageonne: coppery amber, really nice malts and caramel tastes.
Brasserie du Pays Flamand
- from their wilde Leeuw series, came a tripel aged in Sauternes barrels. Fantastic, starting like a great belgian tripel and finished like a sweet vin blanc. Amazing!
Elixkir
- Saison Abricot: Season with apricot, thymus and rosemary, nice and funny mix even if I'm not a fan
La Biérataise
- blonde à la tomate: if that slight acidic aftertaste was tomato, well...
La Chamoise
- Dubbel Trubbel: decent amber/brown dubbel, but sadly not on par with the porter
- Juicy Session IPA: nicely fruity/flowery, and not too bitter
- Robuste Porter: really nice porter with a distinct caramel vibe to it
Le Grand Bison
- Raaahaa!: really good IPA, more on the flowery notes and restrained side of things
Moehau (they've got a nice amber IPA with Nz hops, and a good witbier too)
- Blonde: tasty pilsner (but I prefer ales tbh)
- Porter: decent but a bit generic
- Sapin: amber with sapling added, but taste is almost non-existent (it's already better in bottles, and I guess it'll improve by aging)
Ouroboros
- Chimère Liquide: wheat IPA with Vic Secret, good and not too bitter
- Le Sang Des Muses: great stout with a nice fruity hop taste
Page 24 (Brasserie de Saint Germain)
- Belgian Triple Bourbon Barrel: really great and very well balanced!
- Ambrée: decent amber ale
- Imperial Stout Cognac Barrel: great but slightly too much on the Cognac side
Popihn
- Popihn Berliner Weisse: with strawberries, really decent considering I'm not a fan of the genre
- Popihn Black IPA: fantastic, really balanced between strong malts and hops
Collaborations
- Barallel / Ratz - Beer to Pear: 4 malts and cereals with pear added, nice, more on the pear alcohol than pear juice side of things
- Barallel / Brasserie du Pays Flamand / Elixkir - 'twas a great imperial porter, barrel-aged (bourbon), just a bit too much on the bourbon side
- Brasserie du Midi / Joli Rouge - Charlie Brown: brown IPA with hints of pepper in the end, decent but...
- Corrézienne / Manufacture de Bières - Citrus Maximus: American wheat Ale with Kaffir lime and pepper, a really exotic and great twist!
- Iron / La Débauche - Assam Rouge: tea (tasteful) + red lager was, well, not my cup of tea
- Joli Rouge / Ouroboros - Sainte Barbe: I already knew this imperial stout with smoked chili pepper, but enjoying it on tap was an immense pleasure
- La Braxéenne / La Garonnette - Tripel IPA: hops first, then more and more malt as it got warmer. Good work!
- bonus: tasted Know Your Enemy, an IPA craft-brewed specially for a burger restaurant here (it's still very rare in France). Less-than-average IPA for the beer lover, but it's good to see the craft beer world spill "in real life"...

Denmark
Rocket Brewing
- IPA: I don't know if it was The Problem Solver or Zero Gravity, but their sour take on the genre sure is interesting.

Spain
Basqueland Brewing Project
- Arraun Amber Ale: almost IPA in its bitterness, yet the malts were there
- Lervig No'rway José: another IPA (that I already knew in bottles), but where fruits give way to something more 'resinous'

UK
Black Metal Brewery (they're from Scotland and it shows in their beers)
- Gates Of Valhalla: real tasty oatmeal pale ale
- Will-o'-the-Wisp: juniper smoked ale, really acidic but in a different way
Lines Brew Co
- Double IPA Blend: fantastic, the sour blend makes it easily drinkable yet strong (8,1%)
- Imperial Porter: decent and quite subtle
- NE-NZ IPA: hoppily flavorful but not overbearingly so, great stuff
Mad Hatter (weren't part of the brewers in residence, but as I stumbled upon that one...)
- Orange 'N' Basil: sour, so not my cup of tea, but the mix is definitely interesting
Siren Craft Brew
- White Tips: IPA and wit work very well together, but this one is simply outstanding!

USA
Brooklyn Brewery
- Bel Air Sour: not too sour, so that was fine with me
- Brooklyn 1/2 Ale: a season light in alcoohol but not in taste. Great!
- Brooklyn Sorachi Ace Season: the famous. I did try that hop elsewhere, and it's definitely weird.
- Improved Old Fashioned: felt like drinking a weird mix of beer and stuff like jagermeister. Not for me, but happy I tried it nonetheless.
- Scorcher IPA: nice classical IPA

[no image for the Sauternes-barrel one]

Edit: pfew, done. Nice record to use later.
