Am I really the only one who believes this album cover is crap?

Yeah, it seems that you are the only one

Good news, I liked the names(Deathaura sounds like it'll be a great song) and the cover is 100% Sonata style, reminded me of Takatalvi and Silence, I really don't know what to expect about the music, but I really enjoyed Unia, and now that they have Elias, it'll be interesting to listen to some samples.

Tony actually mentioned in an interview of Finnish music website that this upcoming album is a lot darker and reminds them of Silence..

Well that's what they always say but he did go on quite detailed about the two different style of SA, and said this album is back to roots.. he doesn't regret of doing something like Unia and believes that they reached a lot of new fans with it as at the same time maybe lost too but this album would be going back to original.

So I'm awaiting all excited!!

Are you sure?? Two months ago someone said completely the opposite of this. that they will never return old style. and that was in an interview as well. So can you tell me where could I find the interview you are talking about? :)

According to the band, it will NOT be a return to lots of double-bass and fast songs, but yet Tony still says it reminds him a little of "Silence," and will be a little bit of a return to more classic SA.
In other words, it will probably be different from both Unia AND older SA.

The song titles are nice and the album artwork is amazing. I will be anticipating its release. If this is to be a darker album, then that would be great.

Ugh what's with power metal bands slowing down?? Can you even call it power metal anymore? Edguy's new cd was a total letdown after the style change. I really hope Sonata doesn't do the same thing

Seems nice, but this time I'm asking for some good stuff, not the boring crap power metal many bands do.

Nope, I think it's pretty bad too.
And I also preferred their old logo...

Anyway my hopes aren't really high, but I suppose I'll give it a chance just so I can complain about it afterwards

Man, sounds like metalstorm is the place for all the unia hating, ecliptica loving SA fans. I wondered where they all went... I'm at least glad the majority of other SA fans agree with me that'd it'd be boring for SA to just keep making the same music over and over

Has anyone heard "Flag In The Ground"?, it appears on a video by Nuclear Blast Europe about the making of the video, link's here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Q5LgCeTDDk

So well, the first song ever heard from this new album, my thoughts?, well it has a Victoria's Secret-like feeling, but it kinda reminded me of Silence and Reckoning Night(because of the chorus), well, check it if you want to hear some.
