I've actually been listening to a lot of stuff I haven't listened to in awhile... I think the first album I listened to yesterday was Iron Maiden's first album... It still rocks as hard as I remember. >:[

If that is the one with Phantom of the Opera, I used to own it. Nice choice. Without Phantom, I doubt I would have developed the same taste for metal I enjoy today.

It was Scarlet Dreams by Sigh kick ass tune XD to be honest I listened to the whole imaginary soundscape album afterwards it's pretty much awesome

It may have been a song by Amon Amarth actually. I had music playing in my car but I wasn't really paying attention to it and I'm pretty sure one of their songs came up though.

Actually the first album I got in 2010 was Stone Circle's "Myth", which was already a good hint for the rest of the year. And it was a new band too, so it was fresh.

After that I got In Mourning's "Monolith" and totally went bezerk. Til now, I still think that's the best record I heard all year, up to now. And it's not because I'm a fan of the band, it really is a masterpiece of epic proportions.

I can't be certain, but I think it was Devin Townsend Project - Addicted! ... good way to have started the year!
