Awesome album, if your a metal head you should definetly look into this one. It seems as though LOG seems to improve every album as they go on in their succesful career, there's a good variety of songs and its one of those albums that theres not just a couple good songs, but all of them are amazing! Instruments are amazing as well. Highly recommended...

Singing is different and takes some getting used to, but overall a great album. The beginning and end of the album seem to hold more merit then the middle in my opinion

I think this album is good, but not as great as their other albums. I don't like their development against more and more mainstream... I love the early LoG <3

I've only heard "In Your Words", sound in the vain of Devin Townsend.

Boring and uninspired. Generic like hell. If you want quality thrash - look elsewhere. 2009 for me had two decent Thrash releases: Endgame (\m/) Walking into Nightmares.

Anyone calling this too 'mainstream' is retarded. I'm sure I'll never hear lamb of god on any of my radio stations (as if i have some) or chart topping videos, get real. Mainstream music doesn't focus lyrics on the destruction of humanity or how our country is fucked up. Everyone I ask about this damn cd hates it because its too 'mainstream', and I just don't get it. Otherwise amazing fucking album, Reclamation is fucking badass, the only difference in lamb of gods sound since they started is theyve gotten tighter as playing as a unit and their production has improved (which some people are against, again, not sure why). Great album if you listen to metal for the music and not just to impress people with your unknown-underground-only-known-to-yourself-super-list of bands...

The album is good but am i the only one who thinks the intro from in your words is extremely similar to kreator's hordes of chaos??

That's strange because after listening to Set to fall, Contractor or Grace Reclamation seems to be unimportant for me. But generrally love this album.

No review? I will have to Rectify that... all in good time. My fav Lamb album is definitely a toss between this one and As the Palaces Burn, I feel like this album flows a bit better though.

Didn't you just listen to Palaces for the first time today? Seems a bit premature calling it your favorite LoG album...

No No No... Miscommunication. I listened to the WHOLE ALBUM from front to back for the first time. I've been listening to 'hits' from that album for years, or even ALMOST the whole album via youtube, that album fueled many intense workouts... I would listen on my cell phone then I got fed up with bad quality/load times and just started buying their cds, That was spring of last year that I bought Ashes of the wake, As the palaces Burn and Wrath. Then I just bought Resolution like a month ago.

Yeah but I've encountered a cult here on Metalstorm who claim they rate an album after one listen and don't need any more than that to make a final assessment of an album.

Well, one listen is generally all you need to process an album, unless it's like some super proggy mess or something.

Lamb of God is the kind of band that you can readily digest upon a single listen. Their music is about as straightforward as it gets and their albums - not to mention their songs - pretty much all follow the same formula.

Very true, although that might actually be one of the flaws their music counts, at least you don't see me complaining about coherence or consistency in their albums. It works so well on As The Palaces Burn, you just don't want it to stop. Now invert the negative and positive of that last sentence and you get what I think of Wrath .

If you need 10-15 listens to understand an album, you're probably just bad at understanding music to begin with.

But some reasons why I may need 10-15 listens for some albums:

1. Mood. Sometimes I'll listen to a new album cause its new and not be in the mood for it. Hence I don't enjoy it as much as if I would if was in the mood for it.

2. Interruptions & Distractions. There are always distractions and interruptions to music listening. How many of us just sit there and listen to an album uninterrupted and without doing anything?

3. Human attention span - we all lose attention for whatever reason.

4. Complexity - with some more complex stuff it can take a while for it to sink in especially when hooks and memorable bits aren't so obvious.

All four points are good ones, deadone, and I can relate to experiencing them all at one time or another.
