Heard it and it's quite okay, not bad, but certainly not great.

With two discs I suppose there's bound to be some good stuff in there. The previous album didn't leave much of an impression on me, hopefully this one can live up to the ratings so far.

It's good surprise, to have two different albums that define the band new sound without any compromise , but although it's good, it's not fresh nor a new breakthrough for them, they combined the aggressive part of their sound in albums like Irreligious and Memorial with mellow parts in their previous career in albums like Sin / Pecado , Darkness And Hope and The Antidote, so yes, they pleased almost most of their fans, but don't expect anything new, it's an mature Moonspell album , but not new.

It can't be more than a simple 8 , I mean of course there are some good songs ... but not all the songs have that quality .

But you know, fanboys are the first ones to vote and drop their blind 10s.

blind 10s are good compared to giving 1 to albums they haven't heard ! don't know what people think to themselves .

I really dont think any album would deserve a 1. or even a 2 or a 3. but 10 makes sense, if you get what you wanted from an album.

I disagree. A 10 would mean a perfect album and not many albums eevr attain that status.

A solid album no doubt, but I have to admit that I enjoyed "Night Eternal" much more - it had a "majestic" feeling to it if I may put it that way...
IMHO this album doesn't deserve a rating 10.

I think it's a great duo, but Omega White is noticeably superior to Alpha Noir in my opinion. I've been listening through AN once, then getting to OW and listening to that two or three times straight. Alpha Noir is definitely still good, but it tends to get repetitive. Overall, I'd easily call this experiment a success.

I am huge Moonspell fan but this album is just boring...It's full of half assed songs (Lickanthrope, Un Nome Do Medo, Versus, Love Is Blasphemy), also I find Omega White absolutely mellow for my taste (too much Type O Negative and Sisters Of Mercy copying)...Actually my biggest complaint about this is that they made radical cut and they split their aggressive, evil sound from their more mystical, emotional sound, which IMO led to losing that unpredictability they had on some of theirs previous work....There are some nice songs throughout (Axis Mundi, Opera Carne, Grandstand) but as a whole, it is nothing more than an average record...

to be honest i too felt that Moonspell sounds best with the aggression and mellow parts combined in a song (Full Moon Madness, Capricorn at Her Feet, Everything Invaded, Best Forgotten, First Light)...

but after a few listens i really starting loving the different sides of their music.

Lickanthrope is my least favorite, sounds like just a space filler.

If it is that imbalanced it could hardly be worth all those 10s being doled out. Anywho I'm definitely more excited about listening to this than I originally was.

Moonspell did it again! I'm liking it A LOT, very moonspellish but not repetitive. I would prefer some more aggressiveness in the music, but overall the songs are just great as they are.

Yeah, it's definitely not a 10. I'd probably give it an eight or maybe a tiny bit over that right now. I'll give this one a little longer.

naaa, a 10 makes much more sense. 10 means your expectations were fulfilled, and the band goes beyond itself with their release.

I hope it will grow a bit more on me. For what I heard I cannot give it a 10 which is a rare case since we're talking about Moonspell, a (almost) perfect band and one of my favs. Still I did enjoy more Night Eternal than this one. Hope time will make me change ideas.
