When I was forming my new band after leaving Stribog, I had several ideas, taken from books of mythology and science (i study anthropology and ethnology):
Asans (goth word for 'harvest' which became croatian word 'jesen' meaning autumn)
K'erd (ancient indoeurop. root for 'heart')
Oganj (man made flame)
Eta Carina (biggest star discovered so far)
Vyrej (sort of slavic heaven)
Vigred (local old word for 'spring')

In the end my band is named Ogrev (sth like 'that what you need to make fire),but i still claim there are better names

My first band ever, when I was 16, a hardcore / death metal band in '88/'89: Sadistik Kill (of course the "t" in "Sadistik" was an upside-down cross)

We were horrible and thankfully no recordings still exist, but it remains my favourite ever band name.

My old goregrind band's name was Goiter.

A spoof 80s tribute band I was in we named "Lord Zed and the Death-Raiders." We had local favorites like "Quad-barrel Love Shotgun," "Thunder and Lightning," and the ever popular ballad "Johana, You Are So Hot: But I Really Just Want To Fuck Your Brother In The Ass."

Haven't come up with a name for my solo black metal project yet.

The two band names I have always wanted to name a project are Eraser Burn and Recompense. The first one would be my Progcore 7 member outfit and the second a trio of Operatic Gothic Doom.
