Hahahaha true they have nothing to do with each other. I hate all of OLD Kreator a little less than Sodom. But then again Destruction, Sodom, Kreator I find horrendous.

I'm a huge fan of old Kreator but I never liked Destruction and Sodom at all.

I'm a huge fan of old Kreator but I never liked Destruction and Sodom at all.

Somehow the old German thrash never bit me like the Bay Area and other US versions did.
Kreator became bearable to me late ron and now I find them just plain booooooooring

I don't like what I call 'standard Thrash' (bands with vocals that are too clean). I like only raw Thrash like old Kreator, early Slayer or Hellish Crossfire.
The reason I like it is mostly because vocals are much more aggressive. Vocals in old Exodus, Overkill, etc sound too clean and even pussy sometimes for me. It's probably due to the fact I grew a general dislike for clean vocals in the last years.
Also, I prefer when music sounds raw or reverberated (or both).

Will have to give both albums a few more listens before rendering a verdict. i like old Kreator (err, pleasure to kill)... not big on their other stuff.

but in the continued spirit of dragging things into this conversation that were not originally asked, i prefer Vio-Lence "Eternal Nightmare" to both.

Darkness Descends for me.
But, "Shark Attack" by Wehrmacht is a (IMO) superior album to both. Not to mention the BPM's insane (no, I'm not making the basis on better quality by speed).
