Slayer's best album from many many years... Now they're back on track and making Slayer sound as I like it! And of course,this isn't a R.I.B. not even close,that one is Untouchable...

erm, this topic is most likely to be blocked, since this can be discused in an album review, anyway, i think the album is pretty good and is really a back to the roots albums with some modern touches.

first of all this album is one of the greatest heavy metal albums of all times
when i got the album and played the first track flesh storm..
i knew only lombardo is back not slayer cos simply i never thought slayer are away from what they are all about
every slayer album is a masterpiece to me!

fans can talk about the band reunited classic line up
fans can talk about the best slayer album since seasons in the abyss
or what ever....
slayer just being themselves and absolutely nothing more
just everything you love about slayer is here
from track one to track ten youre hearing nothing but the best heavy metal out there
araya spits the lyrics with huge hate
insane solos
remarkable drums
just Incredible energy and hate as every slayer cold blooded album!
this album aint calling for peace at all

are you out of your mind? there are tons of better albums

out of mind? even i dont care about (awards) and stuff
but the album gain lot of awards and lot of critics claim slayer best album in 16 years!
so maybe everybody is out of mind and your not!

its one of the greatest to me (included most slayer albums) and other bands!

its a very fucking great album but i like more God hates us all... man that raging.. full of hate and agresion Disciple, God Send Death,New Faith... all 15 songs.. awesome..

I have been a die hard Slayer fan since 1985. I regret to say I think this album sounds generic and rushed. I don't hear all the catchy king/hanneman riffs I am used to. I thought maybe it was me but most of my die hard slayer friends said the same thing. Toms vocals are starting to sound like the same song over and over. I hope the new album brings me some "New Faith"

Slayer is the best and the Christ Illusion is one of their best albums !!!:cool:

To be fair, Araya's voice has always been a little monotone...

This album is pretty poor by Slayer standards, in fact the worst album they've ever made.

Its a very cool album. I really like it. I love the song 'Flesh Storm'.
Happy that lombardo's back.
And yup, Reign In Blood is one of their bests too.

No.

Well this band has been their kicking ass for the past 25 yrs and still manages a realy decent album...i think it was realy good (Better then God hates us all,Diabulus in Musica and Divine Intervention)

May fav albums will always remain R.I.B and Show no Mercy,but Christ Illusion was pretty good

IMO God Hates Us All (which is not a really great album) is better than Christ Illusion. GHUA has a "personallity", the songs have a variety and even the lyrics sound to me much better.

CI is not that great, I don't even remeber my fav song from that album. The ONLY good thing on that album is the production and that it is the heaviest Slayer album since many years. But that does NOT make it a great album. To me it is just decent.

Yea i'd say so,christ illusion is a great album,definately comparible to that time period. jihad is one of there best songs,every track is great to listen to.

CI rules!!!! Flesh storm is my favorite off the album. Every song is good!

You cant compare each era
when they put an album out,cause every time it was a diiferent time frame and state of mind.
but on the other hand slayer is and always be slayer the best thrash band ever:banger2:
