What Black and Death metal albums still need to be rereleased?

Labels seem to be reissuing old metal from the black and death metal from the 90s more than they release genuinely good new stuff. There's fairly few albums from the 90s that are worth listening to and aren't still available in some format. What reissues were u glad to see finally come out and what albums are left that really need to be made available again?

A few that I'd like to see come out:
Obtained Enslavement - Centuries of Sorrow.
Gorguts - Obscura (Why hasn't this happened? Anyone?)
Decomposed - Hope Finally Died
The Chasm - Procreation of the Inner Temple

This has been on my mind after seeing that the Vinterland reissue is actually out now. People have been talking about this for 4 or 5 years. Was getting sick of seeing threads about it until I found that one said it was actually out.

Nocturnus - The Key (it could use a remaster, really)

Nocturnus - The Key (it could use a remaster, really)

totally no need for a remaster causw that takes away the atmosphere. A reissue with lopads of liner notes and old pictures howevee it does need. Juast to show the Mithras fanboysa whp their band are copying mixed with Morbid Angel.

Nocturnus dont need rereleasing of old material either imo its perfect has it is
Its like imagining Obituary with supper clear production, Hardcore vocals and lyrics written under their videos.

But some Black Metal bands are really going wild on the cheap production these days.

Morpheus Descends albums and the first Necrophobic. As of now, the best bet of getting them is to try to go for the tape versions.

Also I'm annoyed by reissues that have replaced the original cover art with something inferior, have skipped several reissues for this reason (Necromantia, Demilich, Rotting Christ's Thy Migty Contract, Impaled Nazarene's Ugra Karma, Tormentor's Anno Domini).

Reissue is needed as Marcel said... It's not like a Reissue changes the sound, it's more like a way so more people can get the stuff, right?

Thanks to people releasing stuff again it was possible to get my copy of Lurker of Chalice after all...

The sound and atmosphere on the debut is absolutely perfect in the context of black metal. I'd be dissappointed if they remastered it and that was the only readily available version.

Nocternity- Onyx
Sacramentum- Far Away From The Sun

Both are very hard to find and can be quite expensive. But if they re-release them, they must keep the same sound and not remaster them in a modern way. Imo, albums should always be re-released with the original sound and not be polished and made more accessible sound-wise.

Morpheus Descends albums

The first one's available with bonus tracks. Good album. I never looked into getting other stuff so don't know if it's a bit pricey.

This was because of copyright issues. I thought the Demilich reissue cover was pretty cool. I know what you mean though. The Sorhin reissues look a bit shitty. Looks like they wanted to make them fit in along with other NoEvDia bands.

@regnier, is that Nocternity album hard to get? Thought it was still cheap.

Would be good to see the Chemical Breath albums reissued as well.

Ooh, forgot one. NECROMASS. Both albums are being reissued on LP and CD. CD versions will contain bonus tracks from the EPs. Only the LP version of Mysteria is out so far but great news. Both my Necromass albums are in shitty condition and I'm too cheap to pay £40 for a decent condition CD.

Weakling is still easy to get, Bittercold.

I'm also annoyed by such reissues. All my Necromantia CD's are like that and I hate it!
Also my Rotting Christ's copy of Thy Mighty Contract is a reissue: the cover has nothing to do with the original, I wonder why they do that?!

Agreed on Morpheus Descends and Nocturnus. Both albums are undeniably high quality, but they'd be some of my favorite albums ever if the production wasn't such crap.

Ave Sathanas!
Sounds like a lot of people are thinking "remastered" and less reissued/re-released.

Can't say I can think of any thing in particular that I'd wish to be reissued, most older and obscure tapes and vinyls can be found online. Thanks to file sharing and modern technology ie: products such as tape and vinyl players that are sold now a days with a USB, make obtaining great music much easier.

One reissue I was glad to see was the first few Blodsrit albums with include some bonus tracks.

Try to find it cheap, just for fun. The album is almost impossible to find at the moment. I got my own copy by winning an auction on E-Bay. I got it for around 250$ CAN and I barely won the auction in the last 10 seconds.

It's a vinyl, not a CD. Useless garbage (I hate the sound on vinyls, it's full of parasites) people don't have a device to play them nowadays.

Second Nocternity's Onyx and any mentions of Obtained Enslavement (I really want Witchcraft and Soulblight on CD)

The Heritage by Protector kind of needs reissuing. Although it'd lower the value of the copy I have

Mysticum on CD would be good but I think you can get a recent vinyl version of it at normal prices.

Withcraft has been reissued and you can get it for normal prices. Centuries of Sorrow needs a reissue though.

The Demilich reissue doesn't look too bad but the original cover is still better looking, so I always think that I'll pass over the reissue and try to score the original on ebay. So far I've always missed the end of the auction though when it has gone with a more or less reasonable price (~ 30 bucks).
