As far as I can tell, these two albums are considered modern death metal classics. They are both very intense albums, both fronted by none other than Glen Benton. I would like to know which one you guys think is better. I'm going with Dechristianize, because it is just the perfect blend of melody and brutality.

Personally i enjoy listening Deicide's earlier albums,Legion and Deicide,so I'll go for Dechristianize )

The only song on Dechristianize I like is the title track...all the other songs are very monotonous imo. I really like Stench of Redemption though.

I prefer Icon's of Evil but I voted for Dechristianize. Altho Stench... is excellent. Tough call

I felt ok about Dechristianize at first but it quickly bored the piss outta me. I also saw vital remains live a few months ago and it was some piece of fucking awful. So stench for me.

Really? Thats odd because when I saw them earlier this year they fuckin slayed.

Dechristianize has maintained my interest longer than Stench. I prefer Deicide's older style, while Dechristianize was a huge step up for Vital Remains. I like both though

Agreed. Stench is the only album I like from Deicide tbh, but it's a hell of an album. Vital Remains tends to make their songs way too long IMO, and Dechristianize is no different.
