Soul Journeys is already one of my favorite melo-death songs ever. Might not be the most original album, but its fantastic nonetheless.

I just got this album yesterday and man! i cant stop listening to it!:banger:

Amazing!

What an album! Seriously, blew everything that they've done up until now out of the water... the first track alone, "Everfields", slays almost all the songs from the previous album...

A serious force to be reckoned with this year...

I still rate 'Spirits and August Light' as the best OG album but this is pretty close. The only track I find good and not great is 'An Infinite Mind'.

Great album. Something incredibly...thoughtful about it, the second half of the album is superbly composed.

It's a great album don't get me wrong...but for it to stay top for a whole year? Come off it, right now it's February, you honestly believe it's gonna stay on top for the next 10 months?! Fair enough I guess

If Insomnium doesn't release their fifth album, New World Shadows will remain at the top in melodeath genre I guess.

I just need to comment on the last track of this great record. Deep Cold is probably the happiest metal track Ive ever heard that didn't get too cheeky or boring and that's quite an effort, I mean just listen to it: a happy death metal song... Anyways, great album, well worth a listen!

Deep Cold? For me EGO is the happiest song on the album.. Sounds simple, but in fact it's very difficult to record so bloody good, "happy" MDM song!

With almost 80 votes and an average of 8.9 it's already a definite contender for the #1 spot. I'd say it'll be at least in top 5 at the end of the year.

Only listen to Soul Journeys first riff ,it's magnificent & amazing.
