It constantly amazes me that so many people in the metal community bash the genre of metalcore. It is understandable that certain groups can attain a bad image for the genre with more breakdowns than a vintage Chevy, vocals that could rival the majesty of a castrated cat and a general "what the fuck are they doing" sense of artistic direction leading many to stereotype metalcore as the black sheep of modern metal. But maybe, thanks to this very band, that might change for good.

We need to get their profile to not be visible on the site. I've done tons of research trying to complete the members section but I can't find anything. Maybe we should just contact the band lol.

I sent a message using the online form on their website ... lets see if it gets anywhere. I honestly can't find any info about band members on the internets.

Damn solid album. Well balanced thrash and melodeath that even the so-so vocals don't spoil.

Although: 72 minutes long? Why?

Curious as to why this hasn't cracked the top 20 yet? It has enough votes and certainly has a high enough rating.

Yeah, I guess they could save some stuff for the next release

They couldn've made two releases out of the material on this one o.O I didn't make it through the whole thing though it did seem to be pretty good shizzle.

To be honest I'd rather they made as much use out of the 80-min capacity of CDs as they can - given that they're usually the same price, I'd rather get an album with 60+min of material than on the short end of 40. And I personally love the album enough to listen through it front to back on a near-daily basis at the moment, but I'm happy enough to admit I'm borderline fanboy with this band.

Excellent album, and one of the strongest releases of the year thus far. That is saying a lot because this has been a year of great releases by both known and unknown bands. The one problem I have is that the album is a tad long. Having said that, it is still an excellent record and one I'm thoroughly enjoying months after its release.

Why? Its a great album. The length of it doesnt hurt it at all.

from what I heard with myspace, it's pretty good, but not that good which warrants it a gripping 72 minute listen if you know what I mean

I guess its just up to personal opinion. I mostly listen to it while doing something else (as I do with most of my music) so you don't really feel the length of an album that much.

Damn, I like it musically but I can't get over the vocals.
Listened to it 2 times in a row, but the vocals just aren't my cup of tea.
I will try again cause overall it's a good album.

Exactly the same case with me as well. The vocals made me give it a slightly lower rating. Otherwise this is definitely deserving a 9.

The vocals are really a huge minus, and the length of the cd aswell. But overall, it's oceans better than their last effort, which was mediocre at best. (Ok, it mediocre in a good way, but the 'been there done that' feeling was way too strong.)

I see length being a huge thing with most people. While I agree that the album is a bit long, it is definitely consistent throughout, which is no small feat. One of the better releases this year, no doubt.
