Manowar - Cause Mass Blackout In Cleveland
In case you were wondering, Manowar are still the loudest band on the planet... 'Cuz when they're in town, the power explodes.
During the sound-check last Friday afternoon (March 11th) for their first of two shows at the Agora in Cleveland, Ohio, the self-proclaimed kings of metal blew one of the city's power grids, causing a massive blackout on the entire city block where the venue is located.
Workers at the local electricity company took 24 hours to get the grid back online. Temporary generators had to be rushed in to run Manowar's sound and lights, and a lot of extra gear was brought in for the show. Fortunately, the generators worked and the show was not cancelled.

Oo ffs, do people actually believe this bs? Another marketing trick by them. Because they know they won't get any attention based on their music. So they spread these sort of rumours. They might blackout a village in India but not an entire city block in Cleveland.

I agree that the blackout was probably not their fault. At least not entirely, like somebody else said. I don't think they're as bad as everyone is saying, though I will agree that the stuff they've been comin' out with for the last few years hasn't been quite up to the standard of their older stuff. Just another band's sound degrading I suppose. I think they deserve a little more credit than they're being given here though... fair's fair...
