Aenygmist is a young Symphonic Black Metal band hailing from Drummondville, Quebec, Canada.

What's quite unusual about this band is that all band members are females. Apart from Astarte, I don't any other all-female BM band. And what's even more interesting is that they-fucking-rock! Seriously, I think Blackguard started a thread in Quebec and here's another talented female extreme metal drummer. As for the vocalist, she manages to shriek, grunt, sing clean in both rock and operatic styles, always with success. The guitar and bass also very professionnal and no, this is not so-called sellout BM in the vein of COF of DB: this is trOO Symphonic Black Metal with a unique feminine touch that does not make it sound fluffy, but even more vicious.

For extreme metal females, there's Dana Duffey. She did some fucking vicious extreme metal in Mythic. Other girls from Mythic are still active in Derketa today. That would be death/doom though.

As for this band, it has the problem that a lot of all-female bm projects have though. It's way too flowery for my tastes. If you want some not-as-flowery BM(ish) music with a distinct female touch, you might be interested in the Swedish Dracena (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xq1kxfNWZg8).

I agree, this sounds way too similar to COF for me, talented yes but overall I would not listen to them if I had a choice.
