think about how strict people are about racism nowadays. then consider the reaction if these lyrics were perfomed by white people, referring to black people.
why the double standard?

@Scarrowed muse, Yeah, I think it was a nice neighborhood till the 60's or early 70's. Before it was mainly Irish, Italian american and etc. I have nothing against race, but what they dont do for themselves is what they victimize themselves as. This kind of phenomena doesnt just happen in America, its happenning in almost every country that allow asylum seekers and minorities to come in the country. I have friends from finland that have a similar situation with all the russians, estonians, and balkan people coming in. In Israel it definetly exists, as for the religious jewish community can be quite compared to a ghetto, they live off Israeli taxpayers money and they make living standards bad because all they do is worship God all day and not work.

I would like to point out, as it pertains to the enslavement of Africans, the operation wasn't entirely the 'fault' of the white man. African tribes/nations had long been enslaving the vanquished of battle, and were responsible for selling slaves to the white europeans. frankly, i think the man who captures and sells the slave is every bit as deserving of scorn and derision as the man who buys and 'keeps' them. somehow that fact never gets mentioned, however.

^Bitter Cold, You know whats funny about those Black American Nation of Islam convertees? Muslims were the ones who sold those blacks to americans for slavery, slavery as far as I know has run in the middle east up until maybe ten years ago to which many black slaves were released from their captors. Nation of Islam is a joke.

I find NS/racist music tends to be composed by people who have no idea what they're talking about (i.e no understanding of national socialism). It may be politically incorrect but its also incorrect.......a lot of the lyrics/band philosophies are totally hypocritical and contradictory.

Despite what torture white people may have put African Americans through, this is by far inappropriate behaviour. They have no right whatsoever to have the freedom to express any form of racism towards white people simply because their ancestors were used as slaves. With all due respect, if it wasn't for slavery, the majority of the black race would still be living in Africa in horrible conditions. I mean, it's alright for an African American to express racist views in their music, but when you have a White Pride or NS band, it's immediately seen as racist. No one should have the freedom to say something racist without consequences, however we live in a day and age where the white race is seen as inferior to other races. I mean Africans, Jews, Asians... they all have the right to be proud of their ethnicity, however the same can't be said for whites. And as for the whites torturing the black people, just take a look at what the whites have given them (freedom, equal rights, education, their holidays like Black History Month etc). I'm not racist myself, but I believe these people need to start respecting and appreciating what they have, rather than blame all their problems on the white race.

I always had a problem with this. People are always going on about Political Correctness and stopping racism, especially over here in Britain. I have always wondered why this term is deemed derogative when used by causcasians but deemed almost as a term of affection when used by black rappers? You would think that with political correctness, the use of that term would have been banned from all forms of music. Political correctness, it seems, only works for the people that want it to work, and for the others its nothing more than an excuse to accuse people of discrimination. We've all gone mad!!

Ah, a good link, it will help haters of hiphop to criticize it even more strongly... I wonder how those hiphoppers get tolerated although they write such racist lyrics. Actually I see no logic behind any kind of racism (just hating other races, and not thinking that one's race is superior). For a metalhead and a fan of underground metal music like me, grammy is worthless, meaningless. Thus, in my interpretion, grammy awarders award those who are as worthless as themsleves. whenever I look at the grammy award winners, I wonder how they got the award. Maybe because I dislike the mainstreamm completely.

I don't hate mainstream or hip hop. they have their own musiic and business, and if they want to make racist songs I don't give a shit.. We don't have any hiphop here so I can't have anything against that, it is just suck that some countries have many of this shitty 'music'. Racism was always present in music, even in metal, and it won't change. I hate all kinds of racism, (not patriotism!) and racism in music is the thing I hate the most. There are many racistic bands and arist (Johnny Rebel), and music doesn't need that. Grammy is just a parade of untalented people who are showing the world their new clotes... but as I said I don't give a shit...

Ive gotten used to the fact that I can get made fun of the colour of my skin because im white and the only thing I can do about it is shrug it off. Seriously, Ive been called a honky at school by some black kids infront of teachers and they dont do anything, whereas if I even uttered the 'N' word under my breath id be kicked out of school so fast. People even act shocked when I say Im proud to be white. Note: im not racist, no matter how racist the above statement seems.

Racism in music ? Yes, please be aware that i do not mean to insult any people by writing this but i am entitled to a oppinion. The white racist music stays in the limits of Oi!. Black racism (Racism towards white people) is mostly in Black hip/hop, rap music.Which is totally absurd if you ask me. Black people have their Black Pride day (white men can't have that cause that is racist). This thing got blown out of proportion a long time ago.

Not surprised, racism is everywhere. But this site shown here, who can blame them? The whole philosophy of this kind of music originates from ghettos and places like that, and, well, black people didn't have the best of times IMO. But still, it's not right, no at all we should all love each other

Im Jewish and I listen to some anti-semitic black metal. I think racism has gotten much larger and more mainstream in recent years. People are so much less tolerant of each other than they used to be. Its a shame. Anyways always judge a person by their character

Racism is 'allowed' in progressions, I've found. For example, I'm Indian, with light brown skin, but if I'm racist towards whites, then no-one cares. If I'm racist towards East Asians, then it starts to stir people up a little. If I'm racist towards Arabs, then people start getting visibly annoyed. If I'm anti-Semitic, then people really get pissed off. Finally, if I'm racist towards Negroes, Australian Aborigines and Pacific Islanders, then I probably won't live for more than 5 minutes. That's the way it goes in Australia, for someone like me. However, a Jewish friend of mine can be racist towards whites, Indians, Arabs, and East Asians, without facing too many consequences, but he'll still get the shit beaten out of him for even saying the word "coon" (referring to Aboriginal people) or "nigger" or other derogatory terms for Negroes, Aborigines and Islanders. A white can't really be racist to anyone, but an Aborigine can do whatever the fuck he or she wants. It's bullshit. Now, in the media, this progression is very obvious as well. We all know how Chris Rock can say "nigger" as many times as he wants in his own show, and degrade whites and East Asians too; how Russell Peters can pay the shit out of Indians, whites and East Asians; how Dieudonné can be anti-Semitic but not really cause too much of a ruckus, but how any white comedian can only use political humour and nothing racial. In music, I know of so many Hindi songs that are really racist towards Negroes, Arabs and East Asians, but because "political correctness" in India is confined to the caste system, no-one cares. But if I were to sing a song in English, while living in Australia, about all these things, I'd be screwed. However, if I were to get an Aboriginal Australian to do the same, he'd get away with it!

03.11.2007 - 17:01 Written by Øyvind on 26.10.2007 at 10:23 You are right dude. When a black raper calls another black raper "Nigga" , its ok, but when somebody else does this , all hell breaks lose, double standards suck. When I mess around with some dudes in my class , which has pretty mixed up national backgrounds it can get really confusing. I live in a border city with Bulgaria , and sometimes somebody says : "hey Bulgarian" . I dont mind that , but when a spoiled rich kid whose parent is acciedentaly a gypsie gets called like that , he starts threathning that he is going to kill the guy who called him that and some other sick shit. Somebody gets insolted with the most benine word , its not always what is said ,but how its understood.

@Ellie - how can you listen anti-Semite bands if you're a jew? @Bullet Dodger - well, many Serbs call themselves Cetniks, but when Croat say that to you you would be offended, and in reverse, many Croats call themselves Ustasa, but when Serb calls him like that he found himself offended, and it is like that everywhere. That sucks I know, but that is how things works, you have United Negro College Fund, Martin Luther King Day. Black History Month, Cesar Chavez Day, Yom Hashoah, NAACP, BET, which is cool, but it is not cool that if you have White History month, or smth similar it would be racism, why is that only whites can be racists? Racism is pretty stupid in general, but, present in every day life, can't run from it, at least make it equal.

04.11.2007 - 14:10 Written by Bulletdodger on 03.11.2007 at 17:01 I know what it looks like. I'm Serbian, but I've got Croatian, Cincar (something like Romanian), and Italian blood and some people think it's bad that I'm part Croatian, and all those threats... But there's something else. All the immigrants are viewed as pure trouble-bringers and no one likes them, and then people come and say: They just came here to work. Fine, if you wanna work, great, welcome. But when I went to Florence in 2006, I saw an Arab immigrant meeting another Arab, and giving him a stolen wallet. They didn't come there to work, obviously, but to steal. P.S. Raper means it's a person who rapes, has sex with someone against their will, while rapper is a rap singer.

Sorry about the spelling mistake. About the immigrants , not only the foreign ones make trouble, many young people who went to Belgrade or bigger cities in Serbia , they used to end up as thieves or doing other criminal activities , although they were Serbian , also many young people with Bulgarian background who lived in Serbia went to Bulgaria to attend college ended up doing the dirtiest jobs because they are from Serbia. The Issue about immigrants is much more complicated.

05.10.2008 - 21:07 Written by Sunioj on 27.10.2006 at 14:10 slavery is accepted in Islam...there are few teachings which tells ppl they'd better treat their slaves humane or freeing a slave can be an atonement for some sins and blah blah blah. there are several ways in Islam which makes someone a slave: having slave parent(s), being a war prisoner, etc. damn, i'm boiled over again by seeing the word "Islam", when will i learn to just ignore it? btw, IDK how the life of African Americans is like but i think the hatred they show in Rap lyrics is just a way of relieving the anger they feel of being oppressed, kinda like the ridiculous idea of "Black Supremacy" equivalent to"White Supremacy". i'm proud of being Aryan but i'm by no means a racist ...i remember when i read the book "The Roots" i was really shocked imaginanig the lives of the ppl described in that book.

Varg is an intelligent man with a political opinion and no apparent racial hate. Ironically, varg has received a fair amount of bad press from AntiFa.

22.12.2008 - 21:20 Written by akatana on 16.09.2006 at 15:45 This is one of the poorest arguments used against european colonialism. It's simply not true, it is in fact the other way around, Europeans hurried Africa's advancement up a few centuries. Let's take a good example, Singapore and Malaysia who were given independence in 1957 are now thriving countries. Their people's were subject to the exact same conditions as African colonies. Now in the exact same year Ghana was given it's independence from Britain, Ghana has as many, if not more natural resources than the aforementioned countries. Both countries are coastal on important trade routes and both have similiar populations. Ghana does not experience drought. WHY, is Ghana not a successful country and Malaysia is? It's not colonialism that can be blamed, that is just an excuse for Africa's lack of success...
