It happens when you least expect it. You're just going about your normal business when suddenly an unwelcome and unwanted song forces its way into your mind and you can't make it go away. It happened to me this morning and it made me wonder what random irritating songs popped into other people's heads.

This morning: Juice Newton - Angel Of The Morning. I have no idea why. Maybe I was overexposed to it as a child when it was on the radio everywhere.

Others include:

The Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive. (Definitely overexposed to this as a young child in the late '70s. Once it was stuck in my head for two weeks.)

John Sebastian - Welcome Back (from "Welcome Back Kotter")

Gary Numan - Cars

Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

And most annoying of all: that Christmas song "Up On The Rooftop." Especially the chorus "Ho ho ho, who wouldn't go..." etc.
