Often there are some bands which do not exactly fall into DEATH or BLACK metal category. So we call them Blackened death metal. It can be associated with death metal grunts or grownling with black metal playing styles or riffing to some extent and blast beats.
Bands like Angel Corpse, Zyklon, Vital Remains, Mitochondrion, Crionics, Melechesh, Necrophobic, Belphegor, Behemoth coming to my mind right now which can be classified under this genre.
Feel free to discuss all about Blackened death, bands associated with it, its evolvement through history and where its heading in near future! Thank You.

Sounds pretty immense.

Yep, I didn't know the band , but after hearing this I went searching.
They only have released one EP: Devanation Monumentemples came out last July.
I don't even know if there's a CD version. I think it's only on vinyl.

Hi, new member making my first post. Apologies if they have already been suggested but the Australian band Abominator are one of the best examples of Blackened Death Metal in my opinion.

In case you haven't heard of them, this is an excellent Canadian blackened death metal band.

I second the recommendation. Great stuff.
