Hello my fellow countryman! I'll give it a shot later today.

Here it is, it is finished. A full album released independently on Bandcamp and digitally only for now, but still. Dreadrealm's debut, my first ever actual achievement in the field of music. For the time being, the entire album is available as a free download and all 7 tracks are available for individual download as well. I hope people who discover this and are into the more atmospheric and ambient type of black metal can enjoy this album, I somewhat enjoyed creating it. I feel there is tons of room for improvement in the future, but I am still also slightly proud of having done this. A huge thank you to everyone, who checks it out and to everyone, who has given me feedback thus far. This album is dedicated to all of You.

Unfortunately, Bandcamp only allows for 200 free downloads per month for every artist, so I've been forced to set a minimum price of 1 ? for the album, having reached that number of downloads (which is blowing my mind really) in just 40 h. As soon as I can (12th of May according to Bandcamp), I will again set the price to 0 for another 200 downloads.

Meanwhile, if anyone really wants to own the album (I've put it up on Youtube in its entirety as well), but can't afford the 1 ?, just e-mail me and I will send you mp3s of all tracks, without ever revealing your request to anyone else.

Thanks everyone, who has purchased the album as well. You guys are all awesome!

I think this allows for infinite amount of downloads (and would be free for people that just "buy" for 0?) but you could still give a pay option for those that want to. Not sure of course, but worth checking out.

Yeah, it was originally just "name your price", but since 200 people downloaded without paying, the option is now unavailable for the next 3-4 weeks, that's apparently how Bandcamp works. They want to make some money too, which is understandable and they are an excellent website, truly, the setup of the site is such that it is easy for people to find things they might like. If I want to give 300 more people the option to download without paying, I have to pay Bandcamp 9 USD. I am actually considering doing that since it seems that there are a lot of people, who seem to enjoy The Essence Of Winter.

Also, Thanks, man! I was hoping for 20-30 downloads in a week, not 200+ in 2 days, I am genuinely surprised and very grateful. Someone running a Youtube channel also wrote to me on FB, asking to upload my album in full (the channel has 1000 subs, so it might help) and an underground magazine wanted to include the title track on their CD for the May edition as well as offered to interview me, but they wanted 60 ? for that kind of exposure, which I don't think I'd be willing to spend quite yet, as cool as it would be to have an interview in a bm magazine.

Yeah, I just checked the limit of 200 applies to all, be it "free download" or "name your price". Well, too bad.

And I see you have already been exposed to the dishonest means of certain magazines... I wouldn't give in, all that "pay us so we feature your band" crap is what made music magazines absolute shit (unless it is free/no-pretentions type like Metalstorm ).

It's an actual physical magazine that comes with CDs as well. Almost nobody reads those anymore. They have 2400 likes on FB, but meh... 60 goddamn euros, I won't take that offer I think. I'd rather make a joke Weird Al type interview with myself

Hi, my name is Sebastian and I am the lead vocalist of Thakandar.
Our band hailing from Osnabrück / Germany was founded in 2008 and has taken its name from an evil-infested region in Robert Jordan's fantasy epic �Wheel of Time". In contrast to their previous demos the new album �Sterbende Erde" (Dying Earth), produced by Markus Stock at the sound forge of Studio E, clearly leans towards Melodic Black Metal.

It tells the story of an extinct civilization in a post-apocalyptic of a possible future. The concept was inspired by Stephen King´s �Dark Tower" and Dan Simmon's �Hyperion Cantons / Endymion" among others.
�Sterbende Erde" will released October 20th 2017 by Einheit Produktionen.

Thanks mate!! Yeah, you're right. When I look back, I think I should have added another guitar or keyboard layer to give it more substance/texture.

Just something I came up with for the next album this very morning. I've finally begun to feel more inspired again, thanks to all the positive feedback to the first album and also thanks to the darkening days and colder weather.

SQUARED HUMAN consists of me, myself and I. A real solo project. While "me" is once again too late, "myself" still fights with the hangover from last night and "I" still sits on the bowl, it could actually already start off. Once again it's Saturday night, the child sleeps, the woman left the house and the cellar belongs to the three schizos. A badass mask ball, squared, loud, the neighbors cuss. What a wicked stuff and awesome cinema that SQUARED HUMAN there offer. Rocking handmade Metal with cutting vocals and abyssed lyrics, in German that the mother-in-law understands them too.
