70000 Tons Of Metal - Creators Preparing To Launch New Metal Cruise

Barge To Hell, the newly planned extreme metal cruise launched by the creators of 70000 Tons Of Metal, is due to sail off by the fall of next year.

With some info about the cruise, Bravewords says: "BW&BK recently learned that another metal cruise is coming our way, as Barge To Hell - dubbed The World's Most Extreme Metal Cruise - will hit the high seas in Fall 2012. We have now been informed that Barge To Hell is in fact being launched by the creators of the infamous 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise.

Barge To Hell is due to set sail from Miami, FL and head to the Bahamas, then return to Miami. It will welcome 2,000 metal fans on board and feature bands from the realms of thrash, death and black metal. Registration and bookings will begin via the official Barge To Hell website, on August 8th."

This actually sounds awesome. At first I thought it would be a pretty lame gimmick but when you think of the fans, the weather, the locations and the bands, this could be something worth going to.

Agreed. This sounds pretty amazing.
Whether the bands all kick ass or it's just a bunch of excuses to call it a concert, I would do this in a heartbeat.

Really? It said black/death/thrash, so it's weird that Nightwish would be there. There's your 2,000 tickets I suppose...

Nightwish will play on 70K Tons Of Metal, yes. I don't think they'll play on the new cruise, unless they've changed genre?

Black metal pandas leaving their mother's basement grim dungeons to sail off on a cruise ship to the Bahamas? Huh, guess there really is a first time for everything.

Assuming they'll get past the metal detectors before going on board.
