Which metal band do you hate the most and why?
For me, it's Behemoth. I hate the way these guys blaspheme. You read their lyrics, you find nothing, you ask about them, they're blasphemous! I hate Nergal too. He's very overrated. Behemoth's very overrated. They're crap and then they make four death metal albums and become number 20 on the popularity index! Overrated. That's my opinion though.

Pantera, musically they aren't my absolute least favorite band, that would be extremely hard to pick, but I'd say I'd hate them the most because they are so prominent. Hating some random local band means nothing, hating Emmure is nothing special, if you hate Pantera it means you are poser according to some metalheads. Other bands which I feel similarly about include Slayer, Burzum, and Lamb of God.

No wait, scratch that, the band I hate the most is Suicide Silence because they kept spamming me with their videos even after I told them I didn't like death.

Please realize this sort of attitude really screams of actual insecurity of your own tastes and self...

Alright now that my computer is finally working let me reply with an official response and the melon thingy (thats a whole different story). He who is without sin cast the first stone you self righteous prick. Im not saying that Im not perfect cause Im not and yes I did use to be an arrogant troll when I was younger and I stlll am once in awhile but not as much as i use to be. But people like you are such hypocrites. Before you go and criticize me tale a look at yourself man. Theres so much of that on this site nobody ever admits they are wrong but you know what I will you an the others were right I was wrong Im man enough to admit it. And no Im wont call you an idiot for liking Whitechapel. I have a really good friend who plays in a deathcore band and while I hate that stuff I still go to his shows and support him. And if you come back with another response telling me Im wrong again and I might get in trouble for this but you can fuck yourself man.

let's say I agree with you that the first metal bands are bands from the NWOBHM. Which I don't because even though it's your "opinion" you "opinion" is still historically incorrect because if there was no metal before the NWOBHM then that name wouldn't have existed either because the name implies there alreaday was British Heavy Metal around before the New Wave struck. But like I said, let's I agree with you... then Judas Priest is also not the first to play metal because they weren't part of the NWOBHM because they released quite a few albums before the NWOBHM struck.

I understand what's he coming at, Judas Priest was the first metal band to move away from the blues roots, which is what sepperated it from hard rock other than being heavier, and the NWOBHM band's further moved metal away from the blues to something new.

No, it's just freaking annoying. Pantera's fanbase is the absolute worst.

Slayer fans have always been like that, also in the Eighties. Highly annoying bunch of wankers.

I don't know, I have an image of the average Pantera fan with questionable BO, sporting a lousy t-shirt of said band with the sleeves cut out and proudly shoving his armpit hair in the face of anyone shorter than him.
I picture the Slayer guy with a t-shirt that covers the aforementioned body part. Which is already something.

the Slayer fanboys I have come across ever since 1983 actually all have questionable BO, sport a lopusy T-shirt of said band with sleeves cut off and proudly shove their armpit hair in the face of anyone shorter than them whilst continuously shouting SLAYER at the top of their lungs. Those same mentally challenged ones will also shout SLAYER at concerts where Slayer isn't performing.

Hahaha. Very funny!
I'll take your word for it. Pantera fans certainly do not have monopoly on bad clothing tastes and hygiene anyway. But the bit about those yelling SLAYER at the wrong venues, THAT is a very distinctive trait and it puts them right back up at the top of the douchebag ladder.

Hhahahahah I tend to be that douchbag during some small gigs in town where friends of mine are performing. Just to being a dick. For "real" bands I wouldn't do that of course.

Although I was among those who started to joke during the Triptykon gig at Roadburn by yelling UUUUH!!! In between songs. Welp, even Thomas found it kinda funny and cracked a smile.

I have to admit at Hellfest I very much considered throwing the block of cheese my friend bought at Kvarforth. The idea of clocking him on the bonce in mid-twattery would have been my crowning achievement I think.

Haha, nothing. I only caught the last song so I can't pretend he did or said anything. I just really liked the idea of throwing my friend's very dusty cheese (which he kept in his pocket, eww) at him.

People were doing at at the back right from the start as well and the previous time Triptykon played Roadburn the same thing happened, so it wasn't you who instigated it Tom knows to expect this.

Yeah I have more friends who like Slayer than Pantera and they always do that. It can get annoying sometimes. And I've seen Slayer twice and what Marcel said is pretty true. Unfortunately I wasn't able to see Pantera so I can't say anything about their concerts.
