That song is flawless. Best track on Beyond imo.

Hi, I'm new to the board and only found it by doing a cursory google search for German Metal Ballads. The list which I found a great reference to add to my already burgeoning record collection. A problem I have is understanding what you guys class as metal and what you don't. For me 3 guitars, drummer vocal get your coat you've pulled is the start, some bands introduce strings and keyboards which is also fine. The list above has now become so big (not a bad thing) but for ease of reference would it not be an idea to split the list into many fragments, doom, gothic, speed, NWOBM, Classic rock etc etc. Obviously I'm not trying to teach my granny how to suck eggs by any means, but some of the tracks listed in your wonderful list are not my cup of tea, and no doubt some of the one's I will duly suggest are not to everyone's taste. But, Hey ho, just to start I'll refer you to another list of top ballads that I stumbled across a couple of years ago, it has nothing to do with me, but I found some great tracks on there, quite a lot are on your list but others may have passed you by, as I have so many in my library I will not start on my own yet, but when I do I will apologise in advance for duplicating any that may be already listed in both your and Pastor Matt's lists http://pastormattblog.com/2011/12/05/metal-monday-the-100-best-power-ballads-of-all-time/ hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by posting this, Cheers for now.
