Also includes the bonus track "Enslaved".

Why? Usually early demos like that are difficult to get a hold of...And it's vinyl on top of that. 14 Euros isn't exactly exorbitant pricing either. I somehow they're going to be cashing mega-cheques for this. Perhaps you should learn what an actual cash grab is.

Never mind the band isn't even on Peaceville anymore. the label is putting it out, not them.

That's actually even worse, so Peaceville is making money on this release and not the band. But then again Peaceville does have the name of being a rip-off (of its artists) label to uphold of course,

Come to think of it, how did Peaceville get the rights to the demo? As far as I can remember Enslaved was never on Peaceville.

Oh, I wasn't aware it was only 14 euros. But, you know, "limited edition". "limited vinyl", "first release", with all those things read, the first thought that sprung into my mind was "moneygrab for the collectors".

And LOL @ Manowar.

If it was some mass re-release of a newer album charging 25+ Euros, I'd probably agree. The word "limited" is just thrown around for advertising purposes.

Though, it looks like you might be right. Not a cash grab on Enslaveds part, but Peaceville, rather. Read above posts from BitterCOld and Marcel to see what I mean.

Even if this release was to be really limited to like 500 or 1000 copies the band won't make that much on it. It's the collector that buys multiple copies with intend to sell some of them on ebay after a cuple of years that will make the most money.

Yeah, I just read their posts. I mean... Is Pieceville even allowed to do that?

Or, to rephrase: *how* are they allowed to do that?

If they own the rights to the demo, they are allowed to do it. Compare it with Michael Jackson who owned the rights to the The Beatles songs.
