Necrophagist is one very sick technical DM band. They have released two albums, Onset Of Putrefaction and Epitaph. Their first one (or should I say his), Onset, was made soley by the guitarist/vocalist Muhammed Suicmez.
For those of you who have never seen or heard Muhammed, let me assure you that he is a GOD

Sick band, sick player. What do you think??
So, I heard a new Necrophagist song last night. It's definitely good, but nothing better than anything they've written before. I was afraid it would be too slow and technical, but it's actually quite fast and near the beginning (after a quick, standard death metal intro) and near the end, Muhammed starts a fast riff by itself for a few seconds without any instrument playing, and then the music starts blasting away. Sure, there's some random technical parts that kills the song's momentum, but nothing too drastic. Sami's solo is good as well.
The new drummer just isn't as good as Marco, who sadly wasn't able to record with Necrophagist. He's good and all, but Marco was the man. Romain's footwork is fine, but he just doesn't use enough fills.
Ah finally Necrophagist got around to write some new material. They were way too busy being famous if you ask me. Muhammed should've locked himself down in his basement for 60 days, go insane and write some disturbing and sick Necrophagist music. Are the solos still in that neoclassical vein ?

I'm so excited about the new album, I hope it's more like Onset though, I dunno Epitaph is good and all but it didn't quite hit me like Onset...still any stuff from the guys will be groovy, they are one of the first tech death bands I ever loved, they hold a special place in my heart ^^

I saw these guys July 10 on Summer Slaughter Tour. The only song from them I'd heard before was "Stabwound" so I came in with really high hopes. Necrophagist took these expectations and delivered a brutal, technical and magnificient performance. Some death metal bands are criticized for sounding unoriginal and uninspired live. Necrophagist was awesome live. I now am on a quest to buy every album from them. I can't wait for the new CD. ALL HAIL NECROPHAGIST!!! Their guitarist ( I'm sorry but I can't remember his name ) is a guitar virtuoso. Move over, Petrucci and Malmsteen.

His names Muhammed Suiçmez and yes he is quite talented imo. I also saw them on the Summer Slaughter tour and I was quite impressed by how tight their performance was. I was definitely happy about them playing Diminished to be,Foul Body Autopsy and Only Ashes Remain.

Just bought Epitaph and I am very impressed. I could have seen them a few months ago but chose not to. I regret that decision and humbly retract all of the negative (or at least somewhat negative) things I have said about Necrophagist in the past.
I love necrophagist !! one of the greatest technical death metal bands around !! Muhammed Growls are from the best ever among the death metal singers !!and the most reason i love this band is all this noise about em and there original shit they still far away from commerciale bands !! and just cause of that i would stick in there ass whole my life !!
Respect Necrophagist And Muhammed !!

Let's just hope they release their 3rd album this year....it was scheduled "December 2009" the whole last year and now "December 2010" only god knows if they plan on releasing it at all lol
As far as I know they're not even recording yet. So, no chance whatsoever for a 2010 release.
