Or have low standards for what is a good video  For me videos are like movies, sometimes I couldn't give a rat ass for the visuals... If the plot (or in this case what's going on in the video) is bland, unoriginal and just meh... then it sucks no matter how pretty it looks (I'm looking at you James Cameron)... Under that criticism... All the videos in this case were either meh or just plain awful, pretty much like Doc Godin said in the introduction. Tastes are a weird thing.

I think difference here is when place Y fits the mood of the song like CoB in the abandoned wharehouse Trashed,lost video, and insomnium in the forest. when they play ina generic place, like Rhapsody playing ina white room or "live" videos yeah then it can be boring and just seems lazy. But ive been listening to Insomnium since there debut and have always attached them to the forest(its one of their lyrical themes) so its awsome to see it finally visually portrayed as well musically. and thats all i want from music videos, its better than some random storyline thrown in and poorly acted out while you listen to the music that in your mind doesnt represent what your seeing
