These two masterpieces by the genius King Diamond are both classics. Which one do you think is overall better?
I personally prefer Abigail. Better concept, better vocals, and better guitar sound. What do you think?

Both albums are amazing, but I think I slightly prefer Abigail. It features King's macabre storytelling at it's finest, and musically, I still think it's the best thing King has ever done.

Imo you can't perfectly compare the two as Melissa isn't a concept album. That being said, i think Melissa is better (though Abigail is awesome too)

They are both great albums in their own right, but as has been suggested they are difficult to compare because they are done in such different styles. I honestly couldn't separate them to tell the truth in terms of quality. But King Diamonds storytelling concept is just awesome as I put my vote on that only.

Abigail, the concept and lyrics are amazing! I think its by far one of King's best albums, and maybe even one of Metals best albums overall. I also think the musicianship was at a higher rate on Abigail then Melissa
