Look forward to this. Blood of the Nations is a great album and everything's looking up for this fantastic and important band at the moment.

I imagine it will be pretty difficult to create a worthy follow-up to Blood of the Nations.

Agreed. I've never really enjoyed any of their work but that was actually a good album. It'll be interesting to see what they follow it up with.
You never know when a band might go all St. Anger* on us.
* chose not to use Lulu since they aren't collaborating with any geriatric noise musicians

I can't even tell you what I thought of them because I've completely forgot about them. I only remember the song Balls to the Wall but I know I didn't like the rest of the album.

those albums are completely different from Blood. They sometimes have that happy 80s sing-along vibe to it, while Blood is a much more serious, mature and solid work. There's no joke folk intro that cuts into ripping speed metal on Blood of the Nations.

Yeah i absolutely agree that it is a lot more serious and slightly darker, I just figured that somewhere between 1979 and 1983 Accept released enough good material soemone would have found something they liked (the two i mentioned being my favorites). I prefer their fun 80's stuff to Blood of the Nations, although it's pretty good too.

I'm not a fan of most heavy metal, and I especially can't tell you the difference between a lot of heavy metal bands like I can with black metal because my knowledge isn't that extensive, but I know that I found their old stuff kinda weak and a little too cheesy whereas Blood of the Nations seemed like a... "serious" heavy metal album. It sounded to me like what Bolt Thrower would sound like if they decided to play heavy metal. And I love Bolt Thrower.

Bolt Thrower = The death metal equivelant of Accept... interesting comparison there. I'm not sure I'd go along with it, but I love both bands, especially Bolt Thrower. xD I guess the one thing both bands have in common, is they are pretty much "meat and potatoes" as far as their styles in their respective genres goes. Anyway, more new Accept is great news, especially after the last album was surprisingly so good without Udo.

Only in regards to Blood of the Nations. I'm not even really familiar with the rest of their material.
