I was a lot less inspired by them. They're only samples of course but rather flat sounding samples at that.

Yeah true i guess i was thinking more in comparison to Handful of Stars (nothing against it), it at least gives me hope.

Whatever, I listened to it on Youtube. First impression: it's an OK song, I like it, but obviously I'll wait to hear the whole album before giving a definite opinion.

Ah I use Opera so probably not a browser issue then. I'll catch it at some point, after the last album and samples on Amazon I'm not exactly excited about this release to be honest.

Oh... that was horrible. All I hear are nasty, ill-fitting industrial-esque vocals, overbearing synths and over-trebled, tinny guitars (generic structuring too). It would be boring if it didn't sound so awful.

Yeah, if I even listen to this album it'll be a surprise even to myself.

Well, I do think you are overreacting with the word "horrible" but yeah... this is a pretty damn MEH song tbh.
Yes, the keyboards in the second half of the song are pretty fucking bad tbh
Yes, the guitar sounds is kind of fucked up... Don't know nothing about effects and stuff but it just sounds wrong to me.

...But I don't get where the heck you got that "industrial vocals" idea... They don't seem really weird or unusual at all compared to the rest of their discography.

The industrial vocals aspect is mostly derived from how they approached the vocals on their last album. To me they sounded like your generic, German industrial metal, aggrotech band's vocals. On this album they seem to have adopted the same approach.

Any other band it would be "meh" but for a band with such a pedigree this to me is horrible.

I guess I just like Drudkh too much...

Can't discuss then, haven't listened to their latest. If it sounds similar than this one I might get the fuck off.
I liked Estrangement quite a lot so I'm just going to go backwards (probably avoid the folk one as well, didn't seem that good then last time I listened to some youtube tracks)...

Hmmm to me, that song sounds great. All of it, except maybe the vocals... not industrial like... but has a less harsh vibe compared to previous stuff (though I skipped last album).

Totally looking forward.

You guys IMO are over-reacting. I heard some of the clips on Amazon's UK site as well as this song. Its not that bad at all. Let's see how the whole album shapes up...I have a feeling its going to be *good* but not *great* but seriously not *horrible.* :-)

Well, decent song, although I wasn't exactly blown away. Then again, I wasn't blown away by Autumn Aurora either during the first 2-3 listens, so we'll see how this pans out.
