Of the latest album, which is already industrial... Will this be electro/industrial-industrial club techno?

"Just" death metal > Morbid Angel's attempt at industrial death metal.

I can understand that this is not the cup of tea of the average metal fan, but many of these artists are great and very well-known (Laibach, Punish Yourself...) and I'm quite impressed by the list of artists they managed to gather. For sure I will buy this album, just for those names.

It's really sad that they didn't try to erase the failure of Ilud. But worse than is that they insist on this crap... And Mr. Doctor's point is also very convincing.

Just look at Metallica with their new video. Bands (sometimes unfortunately) stand by their material no matter the amount of success or controversy it brings.

Probably ignorance or they still have the hope that people will change their minds if they make a super c00l video :O

I think you're right. For example, I'm so proud of the BM material I've been working on, that I'm ready to kill anyone who will shun it. Seriously. Even if all of you MS users say it's shit, I'm still gonna release it the way I like. So I know how Metallica feel about Lulz.

Ok, I can understand trying something new. Sure, Illud Divinum Insanus was a sad excuse of an industrial death metal album, but this.... they're trying WAY too hard this time. -_-

Industrial artists have a knack of of making remix songs sound nothing like the originals (check out the remix CD to ANb's PCP Torpedo. Might as well have been different tracks altogether) so hopefully get a few blistering powernoise and hardcore gabba numbers out of this.

How can you fuck up what 99 percent of people already regard as a fuck up? Naturally those who have no prior experience with the artists remixing this will regard it as a failure due to the total lack of metal that it will involve. I, however, will probably enjoy this. It won't be anything amazing but it'll be a fun collection of industrial oriented numbers.

There are a number of "gabber" artists that employ the word gabba in their music, title name etc. because it's an accepted variant of the word, like how powernoize is also used. You're dealing with a world of neologisms, not "correct" spelling and grammar. Even wiki redirects from Gabba. Don't confuse this area of music with metal that's obsessed with pedantism Marcel ;]

agree. they'll take boring and at least do something out there with it. some tracks will likely still be bad, others vastly improved. and it's not like this is anything new for them... they had Laibach fuck with one of their albums years ago.

I wanted to say something very cynical, but I'm out of words. So focus on the bright side - can't be any worse than electronic tracks on IDI. Other thing is, if I want to listen this kind of music - do I really want to listen one of my all-time favourite band's biggest disappointment remixed by others - or just turn to other albums. I dunno. This feels like beating a already dead dog that is Illud Divinum Insanus.

It's a Dutch word hence I will keep on using the correct Dutch spelling of it
