Is it easy to find a cheap place to stay not far from venue ? London's enourmity kind of turns me off

I doubt you'll find pubs open that late but there's a nice goth/industrial club called Slimelight that'll be open till 7:30am ;]

We'll be arriving the 6th somewhere around 8 pm and have a few beers that evening and probably gonna relax the Saturday until the festival starts! So yeah it's possible to meet up and go there in a group. But I wish they announce what time it actually starts, if it's around 7 pm we will probably hang around London during the day.

Oh really? Must have missed that. Well we will be walking around London then til 4 or something. But a meeting would be best on Friday evening or Saturday around noon I guess.

Yeah shit's expensive, I am spending around 300-400 euros on the entire trip but it's worth it!

I'm going too. Anyone fancy meeting for a few beers before/after?

It is very very rare that a death metal band plays more than 60 minutes. I was immensely surpised that Asphyx play 95 minutes last time I saw them. Thank God they didn't get boring. But most of the times death metal bands tend to get boring playing more than 60 minutes live.

Hmmmm I never noticed that.... actually the only death metal band (without counting subgenres) that I saw headlining a show played 90minutes.
I always had this idea of most headlining bands playing 90 or 120 minutes, except when they co-headline or similar that goes down to 75-60min.

Just like most black metal bands headlining also play 70 minutes max, f.e. Wolves IN The Throne Room have never even hit the 70 minute mark when headlinging, Slayer almost never plays longer than 70 minutes, most doom bands don't play much longer either when headlining.

In London it's fairly normal for concerts to end at 23:00 due to the curfew that is placed on venues. Them playing 70 minutes is actually pretty rare to be honest. Ending early is just something mainlanders aren't used to I think =P

I wouldn't really know how to set up a meeting beforehand because I don't know any local pubs we could meet at. I've never been there so the only place I'd know is Kentish Town railway station and the tube station =P

I will check back here on Saturday morning to see if anyone fancies a meet up. Probably best to do this on time as it's probably a smart move to be at the venue around 4 already, less queuing.

Let's all wear our metalstorm t-shirt to meet-up easily ! oh wait... I didn't get one

Heard some people say that too and it was sometimes a bit muddy (complaining about the guitars sound ), but overall it was fine. I think the place where one stood influenced quite a bit, on the front/middle center (I stayed there) all was good... but for Discharged (that I didn't care much for) I went to the back on one of the sides for a beer and it did get considerably worse.

The toilets where an overcrowded swamp, an unholy mix of piss/puke/alcohol and probably other filth Good thing I had my boots !
