Mortal Kombat is Serbian Metal/Punk band from Belgrade, just released first album named 'Smrtonosna Sorka', live shows are probably the best I've been recently. Sadly for non Serbian speakers all lyrics are in native language and are impossible to translate because they will just sound dumb or will make no sense and 60% of this band's quality is in their imho fantastic lyrics. They are mostly in a humorous and sarcastic tho sometimes with direct profanity reflecting all the problems in our society, long time i did not see band with lyrics that makes you laugh while they really are covering sad sad topics.
band's main influences are: Manowar, Conan the Barbarian and arcade game Street Fighter, but since Street Fighter band already existed band was named Mortal Kombat, again, no relation to a movie, it's an ancient arcade game.
